SlashGear...

"They’re finished with a beautiful chamfered edge, which Apple says is diamond-cut; it’s unfortunately reasonably prone to scrapes, however, and after just a few days of relatively kid-glove treatment, this black review model bore at least one small scar. It would likely be less obvious with a white version."

There goes my dreams of iPhone nakedness... second-guessing cases, color choice.

For some odd reason, there appears to be no way to add the Feather Shine to your cart and purchase? To see what I mean, look for the Feather Dual Pro and you'll see an option bottom right below the images to add to your cart.

Is this just on my end or is someone else having the same issue? I'm in Canada, so unfortunately ordering from Verizon isn't an option.

They've been out of stock for a few days now - same with the orig feather black. I was able to find one on Newegg with free shipping.

Has anyone ever ordered from macmall.com? Their prices are much cheaper then ordering directly from incipio and they also have an NGP model listed for the IP5, although I am skeptical since it seems odd they'd have a case not even listed on incipio's own website.

The Feather looks like it has a slight lip this time around, can anyone confirm?

I prefer a case with a slight lip above the screen. Not so that it can be lay face down, but it does help prevent screen protectors from peeling at the edges.

Yes, it does.

Will probably get one of their feathers for my phone. Have tried others but always go back to the feather for its slimness.

Damn, I just noticed the black feather is out of stock...

Try the Incase Snap...similar to Feather, but translucent. I switch between the two on my 4S.

I have ordered from macmall several times, and they're amazing. I bought a superdrive and several cases.

Awesome thanks! Now just trying to figure out how they apparently have a case that does not exist according to incipio's site.

Got this guy at Verizon last night for $18.75:

I ordered an otterbox commuter too. based on the previous models of the two, I like that the incipio is thinner than the otterbox but I like that the otterbox covers the headphone and 30-pin and they stood behind my last commuter that cracked after only 6 months (on the other hand, the commuter broke after 6 months lol). My father-in-law has the incipio for the iphone 4 and his broke too. I guess that's what you get with a two-piece designed like these are.

Did Verizon have a decent selection already stocked on the shelves?

The one I went to had one little display maybe 6 wide by 12 high but a lot of duplicates. The guy said they were getting more stuff in tomorrow (would be today) in prep for the launch.

Thanks! I'll check out VZW on my way home from work. Theres one a couple miles from my house.

Just a heads up...

MacMall seems to be carrying some unadvertised Incipio cases for the iPhone 5... notably NGP and OffGrid/OffGrid Pro battery cases.

NGP - $10
feather - $15
OffGrid - $56.99
OffGrid Pro - $73.99

Unfortunately they are NOT IN STOCK yet and will ship as soon as they get them in. I have a ridiculous amount of patience so I ordered both the NGP and feather in black... cost about the same as (1) feather from Incipio's site after tax/shipping.

Funny, after buying the Dual Pro (which looks very nice, especially for the price at Verizon), I also ordered an Otterbox Commuter, so I'll have the same combo. I hope neither break soon.

I went to two Verizon stores today. The first had no iPhone 5 stuff at all (and the woman working there acted like I was crazy for asking); the second had quite a nice selection of cases.

Im thinking about ordering the ngp matte translucent mercury and teal frequence and a pack of screen protectors off macmall.

I picked up the Dual Pro tonight at my local Verizon Store.

I'm very impressed with it based on my first impression. The feel is great and it looks like it will provide the perfect balance between rugged protection and sleek.

I'm coming to iPhone from a DROID X. I currently have an Otter Box Commuter on my X. I find the Commuter to be too bulky and the materials aren't exactly what I'm after.

If you're not going to be needing rugged protection but still want some peace of mind, I'd say def. check out the Dual Pro.

Yea post any pics/vis of that one too...it looks nice but I'm not a huge fan of 2 piece cases because I'm always afraid it'll detach or something. But it looks like it covers the front better.

Got my Casecrown today and I'm impressed. Build quality is good with no flaws at all. The felt inside will give protection from taking it off. I obviously won't know how secure it stays on until tomorrow, but it looks every bit as good as my Incipio.

NGP is not even listed on incipio's own website. Who knows when they will ship it. I am getting a temp case from Ebay first.

Bad news about the Casecrown Lux slider - it doesn't fit. I just got an email from them saying that the felt liner was too thick and could damage the phone. Fortunately I haven't used it yet.

They are offering either a replacement or full refund.

Did anybody receive tracking yet? I tried calling, but customer service is closed during the weekend. Guess I have to wait till Monday. I'm hearing good things about the "frequency" case.

Just ordered the Feather Shine, I like the idea of brushed Metal. Been using a Feather on my 4s and love it.

Have you gotten yours in yet?

----------

I had a black feather case for my 4 and it was soft and gave better traction. The shine looks like it would be a little more slippery but it looks much better. I ordered the feather shine so hopefully it will look as good or better in person. It seems to be like the barely there brushed aluminum case from casemate which I really liked on my 4s. While it was a little more slippery the looks were much better on the white iPhone than the white feather case. I think the black feather shine should look really good on the black iPhone.

Nope. I got the confirmation email friday but no shipping info yet.

Please post pics when you get it!
