15' TB Radeon Pro 15 here - can confirm UI lag. Wanted to believe I was seeing things, but the more I use it the more I notice it. 3 finger swipe has noticeable frame skip - it's not consistent - sometimes buttery smooth but other times horrendous. This is truly disappointing.

I haven't seen any of these reports. Can you direct me to any? You're not reffering to that one report where someone mentioned some lag, but then it turned out his issue got fixed after the restart?

All I saw was this:

This is consistent with other reports I read.

To be fair, that's not a report but an opinion, which means the same laptop will perform differnetly depends on who uses them. I have a 2015 and 2016 machine at the moment so will test both, (15 models)

Has anyone tried the same actions while triggering the dGPU? I just launched Photoshop and had it idle in the background with nothing open. Then tried scrolling Applications folder, Reddit, and spaces switches and the same slightly slower performance is present, even when confirmed to be on the Pro 460 via gfxcardstatus and system profiler.

This is a software issue.

Aside from 3 finger swipe - for those who experience UI lag - are there anything else? Like scrolling Safari/PDF? Thinking of trying out the 15" model.

Scrolling on websites is fine. However scrolling most PDFs in Safari is jerky but they're fine after downloading and opening in Preview.

I recently received the new 15 inch aswell and I can confirm that there are some UI lag present. While the UI most of the times are quite smooth a normal user will notice some stutter during daily tasks.

PDF files are stuttery, don't even think about using adobe acrobat reader for Mac if you dont want stutter... Opening PDF files in Preview is fluent though.

3,5 years later I discovered that turning off transparency in Accessibility options finally solves the issue.
P.S. No more notebooks from Apple.

Where is that? My 16" doesn't have transparency on the Accessibility > Display settings but from time to time it starts to stutter all over the place especially on heavy images based websites like Reddit and Imgur
