No, the new logos should be "OSX and XP inside." After all, its just a matter of time on the new Intel's. Why wait for some script kiddies to figure it out. Just do it Apple from the start.

Windowlicker said:All those stupid stickers... :Q But if I would get 50 (or $50 if you like) off the price because of a sticker that I can remove, I certainly would take it.
Doctor Q said:Maybe Apple should make deals with every manufacturer of every part of every Mac, and put a sticker for each on the outside. If you're gonna pollute the clean look of a Mac with labels, you might as well go all the way.

I wouldn't assume that. The graphics I posted earlier in the thread are monochrome, but that's just the way marks are registered. Color claims are rarely included, because registering the line art alone provides broader protection. Intel are still free to use any color scheme they like.Zillo said:I think that the new stickers look like they are going to be placed at the back of computer since they are BW.
dubbz said:I agree. No stickers.
They'll probably be imprinted on the side of the Mac itself. I figure they'll replace the glowing Apple on the Powerbook with a Intel logo instead.

How do you know that? We're just speculating about what Intel might offer payment for and what Apple's reaction would be. And we don't know that any such payment would reduce our purchase costs either. It might simply go into another Apple budget.sw1tcher said:It's not like it's going to be stamped/etched/engraved on the casing or anything.
pubwvj said:I would not accept a sticker on the machine. I want the simple clean design and lines that Apple makes. People can stick their own stickers on if they want but no ads on mine. Apple does that and they're going to lose customers over style.
Intel are not going to promote only their consumer offerings and stop talking about their mobile, business and server technology. Viiv is irrelevant to many of their core markets.bdkennedy1 said:Those logos aren't the marketing campaign. Those are the logos that they slap on boxes and manuals. The marketing campagin is probably going to be VIIV.
Josh396 said:I could maybe see a logo or something on the box but I also agree that there is no way Jobs will let an Intel sticker on any mac product.
inkswamp said:There is a hardcore group of power users and Mac fans out there (i.e., most people posting here) who know that the Intel switch won't matter much in the long run, but there are many, many casual Mac users who will be utterly bewildered by an Intel sticker or logo on the outside of their next Mac purchase.
