All the more reason for Apple to quickly drop the x86 hardware and accelerate the transition.
Sorry for the macOS base who will loose any new designs rollout for the Intel side but will be skipped.

The M1 is fantastic, and no amount of babyish advertising from Intel will take away from it. I love my M1 Air and Mini. That being said, I recently picked up a Lenovo Yoga 7i from Best Buy- 15" touchscreen, 11th gen i5, fingerprint, aluminum chassis, and more, and have been really pleased with it for $649. I find myself using it way more than I anticipated.

If you wanna fry eggs, go Intel!

Intel is about to lose their consumer market. Server market is still huge. I’m betting they’re getting heat from PC manufacturing, ie HP, Lenovo, Dell for not innovating. Look at Microsoft’s S-chip. Even Msft is frustrated.

The 11th get i7 1185g7 CPU referenced in the Intel advert is over $400 per unit - my M1 Mac mini bottom of the range cost me $699... and I sold my hex core 3GHz i5 32GB with 512Gb SSD and RX580 eGPU for almost $1500 - I both myself the Mac mini plus bottom of the range MB Air M1 - I do video work with Davinci Resolve - and I'm getting FAR better speed in every way with the M1 - Intel can bleat all they like, I don't care!

Yes, "you can power a rocket launch and launch Rocket league" on your Mac:
Yes, "you can flip through Photoshop thumbnails with your actual thumb" on a Mac, it's called a trackpad.

Yes, Apple "offers tablet mode with touch screen and stylus capabilities in a single device," it's called an iPad.

Go MISLEADING CRAP FROM INTEL.

Since the M1 came out, the common strategy to "beat it" is to compare an M1 Mac to 5 different Intel/AMD laptops. "This AMD has a bigger battery, this Intel is faster when plugged into an outlet, this one runs games faster, this one is lighter and this one can be used as a hair dryer."

Yes, buy those 5 AMD/Intel laptops and tape them together. Go Fail.

As others have said why are they targeting Apple? They are no longer going to be your customer. Amd on the other hand is legitimate competition for your remaining customers

The server market isn't guaranteed either. The AWS is making major moves with ARM based server processors for Linux servers, as well as AMD for Windows servers.

I recently purchased an M1 MacBook Air to replace an aging 2011 iMac. I also work with an Intel computer everyday for work. I am not confused as to which one works best for my everyday computing needs. (Hint: it's not the Intel computer)

But my personal needs aside, it seems that Intel's advertising misses the mark. People who are big into gaming or into scientific workstations are usually not in the market for Macs anyways. It seems like a desperate attempt to hold on to their existing customers.
