International iPhone 4S Order Status Thread

I have a friend on Google+ who does indeed work for TNT and in no way is interested in iPhones. Her Google+ status a couple of hours ago, and I'm paraphrasing here to avoid identification, "come on iPhones!" I haven't talked to her in years but asked of she knew if TNT were doing the deliveries and her colleague replied with "maybe ;)"

I'm 90% sure now our iPhones are at various TNT depots across the UK, and they're being told to wait until tomorrow/Friday to complete delivery. I know you're probably rolling your eyes right now but her status made it seem that they had just received a huge delivery to sort. Not only that, before her colleague replied, she deleted her initial reply to my question about TNT.

How would that work though, as you can still cancel orders?
 
Just tried to track my iPhone on UPS, and I found it. But gave this problem: "The service selected is not available to the destination address / Downgraded, forwarded to consignee, selected service is not available"
I think I will just have to wait...
 
It's kinda strange how I can "track" the package on UPS by using the "Search by reference" option. Once I enter "IPHONE 4S 32GB" or my order number as reference and my village (yes, VILLAGE, pretty sure noone else ordered an iPhone here as there are roughly 2k ppl living here, aged 50 and older, not being too much interested in Apple pre orders) as ZIP code it shows me that there is one package found, however no further information is available.

However, no status change on the German website. After talking to an apple sales assistant yesterday it seems like UPS received the packages but haven't scanned them in yet, so that's why there is no tracking available yet. They could have just bypassed that, of course. Just guessing.. any opinions on that?

I'm following a few forums at once, so I have sort of an overview over happenings ;-)

One guy on the German Forum Apfeltalk said that the Apple Online Chat Representative told him that the devices were in their respective EU depots/countries and people (early pre-orders) would get status changes this evening.

Take this with a grain of salt, but just wanted to pass this here.

There is hope! Although it seems strange.. I've been talking to those chat guys at least 4 times and all they could tell me was that they would definitely start shipping on the 14th. No origin named though. Could be shipping from europe.. Hope my status changes soon :D

just spoke to TNT here in the UK, I asked of I could pick it up Friday morning if it was in the depot. He said that TNT and Apple have a contract where they have to have a first attempt before you can pick it up

Not moving, still Processing... and ships by October 14.

I ordered 32g white at 8.15 am UK time on 7th. Order status is the same as everyone else. I do have fast ship EMEA so I guess it will be despatched from China tonight by UPS or TNT.

I drive past the Apple store in Regent Street every morning. There were people camping out yesterday morning. (Tuesday)

Crazy dudes I'd say. :p
 
Just been told very clearly by apple telephone customer advisor that in uk , no one will get iPhone 4 , this Friday
He made it very clear that all orders will be shipped on Friday from with in Europe and will be delivered by Monday or Tuesday .
I hope he is wrong

Does anyone have any recommendations for a cool case for a White iPhone? I don't really want the back covered so something like a Bumper is cool just to protect the corner from getting knocked. Maybe a clear one to show off the aluminium strip, or a red one (deep red like the Apple Product stuff) so it matches my iPad.

Anyone got any good quality suggestions? The Griffin Slim Frame. It's really nice with a black border that will really show of your white Iphone.:)
