Ordered my 64GB white at roughly 12:00 P.M. central time on October 7th. Order is still processing.

"Ships in 1-2 weeks, Delivers 24 Oct - 31 Oct"

I'd sure be a happy camper if it decided to show up a little earlier than that. ;)

I ordered at about 7:00 a.m. MST, and I'm in the same situation as you:

iPhone 4S 64GB Black
Available: 1 - 2 Weeks
Delivers 24 Oct - 31 Oct via Standard Shipping

It almost appears that the 64GB phones are slated to ship a week later...if we're both in the same boat.

Any other Canadians order the 64GB and have a suggested delivery date of Oct. 24-31?

This is the same every year...

The order process is:
1. Place your order online /Apple Pre-Authorize Payment
2. Email Confirmation Saying deliver BY*
3. Dispatch Notice /followed by tracking.

*Now that Apple have changed the look of their online store it is a little more confusing. It is easier for shipments to get into the USA from China as they have more flights in from china and can get fast ship, that is why some american orders are saying shipped.. thats shipped from china!

In the UK, stock is normally held in Apple regional distribution centres (one near Tamworth and one in the south) and ships next day which is why people in the UK wont have the chioce of fast ship.

For those who managed to place an order before they shipping dates changed to 1-2 weeks I would expect to status changes on Tuesday/Wed for delivery Thursday/Friday.

When placing an order online with Apple, your payment card would normally be pre-authorised but as some of the stock of iphone 4s are in the UK already thats why some people (like me) might their card charged now rather than pre-authorised. For those in the UK, it is always better to check your order status via the american online order status as this is updated faster than the UK system.

UK order changed to Dispatched

Mine just changed to " Dispatched: Ships by October 14th" from "Processing Items Ships: Ships by October 14th"

Presumably from China though, so I am still not expecting it until the 14th (with any luck)

NB. I did have the Fast shipping (EMEA) note on the order so not sure if it's any different for other people.

Ordered a 32GB Black Iphone 4S on release date before the shipping estimates went up! From the UK, not very optimistic that i'll get this on Friday.

The Processing Items suggests it will be shipped on the 14th and delivery will probably be 2-3 days later.

would be a nice surprise to receive it early though!:D

It sounds sensible enough and my experience with other products (I only ever bought iPhones from physical stores), when you get the dispatch notice it is shipped from China

I don't agree with this. Not sure why (I didn't physically select a different means of shipping when I pre-ordered), but my order (to the UK) was denoted Fast shipping (EMEA). Maybe I got lucky

Quick question. I have a separate CC meant only for online shopping with a lower limit of $1500. When I pre-ordered, Apple put a hold for $960(I assume, unless it was a full charge) for my 4S, and those funds are no longer available to me.

Now when apple ships it and charges me, will they take those funds in the 'Authorization Hold', or will they try and charge me again, which will be declined since now there's about $540 available funds.

They will take the funds in the authorization hold. Don't worry about it.

All UK orders for iphone 4s will have EMEA, it is because we do not have a choice of delivery options for this product... they all come next day.

Everyone in the UK who ordered before the dispatch dates changed will see EMEA, and something like all orders will ship when all items are in stock or items will ship seperate. Its the same every iphone launch.

I just hope that come the 12th Apple can manage their IOS5 Updates better than the merchant side of their pre-order system

Ordered about 3 minutes after the site went live.
Email within 10 minutes, money taken instantly.

"Dispatched: 1 - 2 Weeks Delivers 24 Oct, 2011 - 31 Oct, 2011"

16GB White - UK

Not too worried, but potentially I will have upto a week without a phone, depending on when they do finally ship it, as I will need to send in my phone to the recycler, and they only hold the price for 14 days.

The more I think about it the more logical it would be for Apple to allow pre orders a days head start so that the servers/icloud can handle it..

The merge from mobile me to cloud is easy enough, but I am sure people will play and use photo stream alot.. if everyone uses the P/S with a 1000 photos thats alot of bandwidth

I ordered a 64gb right when the store was available (before it said "ship in 1 to 2 weeks) and i have no estimate date other than "by oct 14"

If it says by 14th Oct on your order confimation this is when you will get it by. It didnt take long for international stores to go from by the 14th to the current status of 1-2 weeks.

The date you will get it by is the date on the confirmation email.

Bugger, mine says standard shipping :-(

@mac3thefuture was your order before the cut off to shipping in 1-2 weeks?

@hppy29 fingers crossed! I'll be very happy if I get my new phone tomorrow because my order was changed to Dispatched this morning!

I ordered mine at about 8:40 on Friday (32gb White) and mine says the same as everybody else's. (processing: ships by the 14th October)

First time for me ordering an iPhone on release day so fingers crossed it will arrive Friday!!!

Steve

Is your tracking a 1Z or 801 number, I would be surprised if anyone gets them before the 12th, BUT heres hoping

After speaking to an Apple rep today (UK) and showing them my email confirmation which read: Dispatched: Ships by the 14th October, I have been told that it's a safe bet that my iPhone 4S 16gb (White) will be with me on the 14th.

I pre-ordered from the Apple Store within 30 minutes on the 7th October. Anyone who managed to get a confirmation email within the first "few" hours and ordered the 16gb version should receive their's on launch day....apparently.

I live in hope.....

Haven't had a tracking number yet.

Anyone who ordered through Rogers in Canada know if the reservation # you were given is an international waiting number, or the local one. I've got a reservation number of 520 or so and keeps going down every day or so. I was just wondering if it was nationally or just locally. Thanks

Ordered at about 10AM UK time last Friday, currently "Processing Items: Ships by October 14th".

Fingers crossed that I get a repeat of my day early iPad.

Did you just buy the phone or did you order anything else with it?

Just the phone! Coincidentally, I initially tried to call the UK Apple call-centre in Ireland and couldn't get through. Left a message to the rep that I normally order through and was told they have never known a launch like it. Gave me the anectodal evidence that the call centre in Germany took more calls in the first 2 hours than they did in the whole month of September!!
