gimmick upgrade. Slow full of mistakes rubbish.
I haven't upgraded any of my family's iPhones because of how badly iOS runs on my iPad Mini.

Maybe it might do better on the iPhones, but I don't want to risk it. This has been the worse iOS experience that I remember.

So many bugs with iOS 10. I can't remember ever experiencing this many with any previous version of iOS.

I have an old iPad 2 limping along on iOS 9 that still sees everyday use. I wonder how many others are part of that category.
My iPad 2 os still getting plenty of use along with newer ones I own. I appreciate that Apple still supports its iOS devices years later. Its why I dumped my Android phone in Nov. and moved to the iPhone. Even Google's Pixel wasn't being promised the long term software support that Apple delivers to its iPhone. Drop a new iPhone battery in after a couple of years and they keep on going and going and going...

I'd expect it to be higher with the constant pop up spam! Which you can't stop
Yup, they'll make it sound like everyone is soooo happy to be on iOS10 when in actuality some are strong armed into it. Sort of reminds of a dictatorship where EVERYONE will be at the parade and will be happy to see their glorious leader.

I believe those alerts can be disabled through iCloud.

From what i know, that is false. You can delete the update in storage options and the damn thing will just redownload itself. Apple doesnt realize some of us dont want to upgrade, and redownloading it CONSTANTLY eats our capped wifi at home. It will ask if i want to upgrade i say no then it asks if i want to do it at 3am while im sleeping. Ive fallen for that one personally and am annoyed with it.

hmm, i wonder what caused this 13% to update...
My daughters ipad stopped functioning... attempting to launch any app just loaded the screen and then closed. I cleared out all of the data (not a memory issue), I reset the iPad (shrug), I deleted and reinstalled all of the apps (nope). My only option left was a factory reset, and I could not reset to the existing OS (it had to be upgraded to 10)... so I was basically left with no other choice but to upgrade from 9 to 10. Now the iPad works fine.

Have you looked into the Accessibility settings? I noticed some speed improvements when toning down animations.

Zero difference. Still slow AF on my iPad 2 running iOS 9. Keeping an eye on jailbreak to upgrade it back to iOS 6 to restore usability.

Am I missing something here, I can switch of Updates in iTunes & App Stores, or do you still get those messages then.
I am always on the latest betas so I never see these messages.

I mean, I'm not surprised, considering they harass you with spam alerts to force you to upgrade.

Odd, I can't remember ever having such a problem free experience with iOS. Even the later betas of iOS 10 were better than any version of iOS 9. And don't even get me started on iOS 8...

I guess it's hit or miss. This has definitely been my worst experience with an iOS device.

Most likely because they all got fed off of the huge splash screen telling them to update NOW every time they unlocked their devices, and then having to input their pins just to get rid of it after clicking 'no' and 'update later' and 'are you sure?' 5000 times.....

I think iOS10 is one of their buggiest releases so far.
