Rock solid... it sure feels that way for me when my battery "dies" at random percentages. A rock indeed.
How old is your battery? Are you sure it's not the battery that is the problem? This started to happen with my 6s a few months ago. Fortunately my phone qualified for the 6s battery replacement program and it hasn't happened since I had the battery replaced.

Whoopty Doo! How about fixing the issues with your Q&A and in my case, with Bluetooth on the brand new 7+ Intel modem units Apple!? I have submitted countless feedback requests and nothing has returned with any signs of fixing or resolution....

I know that Apple is working on your issues as we speak. You will be well taken care of. Don't despair.

I never seen a jailbreak for downgrading iOS before but that would definitely be useful for my grandparents' iPad 2s

There's a downgrade from 9.3.3 to 6.1.3 that requires jailbreak but no jailbreak for 9.3.5. Mainly for children to play with when they visit so they don't break the good stuff.

Most people I know who've updated either did it accidentally or because they got pissed off at the aggravating daily reminders. Hardly an achievement for Apple to crow about.

Yeah, it asks you daily... and if you say NO it has a follow up question to do it at night. Maybe Apple could get that adoption number higher if IOS asked you EVERY 20 MINUTES instead. They tout it as an achievement, but they make it almost impossible to NOT upgrade. And yes, many do it accidentally. Or dare i say "tricked" into it like when App store wants to upgrade to a new OSX by making it look like a software update.

Make a (bleep)ing COMPUTER !!!! THAT would be an achievement for the Apple executives.

5S. My battery is just fine. I had absolutely 0 issues until ~10.1 upgrades started coming. Same issue with my wife's iPhone 5S. This is a well known and documented software issue on iPhones ranging from the 5S to the 7. For whatever reason, for some folks replacing the battery works, for others it doesn't. Of course there is no way Apple will openly acknowledge this because the charging cycles are increasing due to the issue and could easily cause early battery degradation.

From what i know, that is false. You can delete the update in storage options and the damn thing will just redownload itself. Apple doesnt realize some of us dont want to upgrade, and redownloading it CONSTANTLY eats our capped wifi at home. It will ask if i want to upgrade i say no then it asks if i want to do it at 3am while im sleeping. Ive fallen for that one personally and am annoyed with it.

You can use a PAC file to block the iOS OTA or block the OTA domains with the Weblock app.

Just paste this code into a .txt file. Rename it to something.js and upload it to any web host service(you can use a free github page for that or any free cloud service with permalink). Then just paste the link on the Auto HTTP PROXY section, inside iOS WiFi options. Done!

Code:
function FindProxyForURL(url) {
  if (shExpMatch(url, "*://mesu.apple.com/*") || shExpMatch(url, "*://appldnld.apple.com/*")) {
   return "PROXY 8.8.8.8:53";
   }
return "DIRECT";
}

Or you can use the Weblock app to block the OTA domains:

I guess it's hit or miss. This has definitely been my worst experience with an iOS device.
Perhaps it's different with different devices. iOS 8 was my worst experience by far (nothing else even comes close to how bad iOS 8 was). The initial release was so full of bugs and most of them weren't dealt with until iOS 8.3. I especially loved the "You want to answer the phone when someones call you?? Too bad, you can't" bug, it made me want to throw my phone out the window and go buy an Android phone.

Perhaps for you. But my 6 I kept on 9.3.5 (with no nag screens) and it's flawless. Works perfectly. Zero complaints. And there it will stay forever.
If that works for you great. iOS 9 was generally pretty good on my 6s, but super laggy on my old 5c before I upgraded. iOS 9.3.5 in particular introduced a weird lag on my 6s which made it feel a little slow. I was going to do a clean install to see if that fixed the issue but decided to try the iOS 10 beta first. For me iOS 10 felt so much smoother and faster and finally made 3D touch feel useful so I ended up just using the beta until the GM for iOS 10 came out.

So many bugs with iOS 10. I can't remember ever experiencing this many with any previous version of iOS.
I don't think iOS 10 is buggy, but makes everything so slow on my iPad Mini. To be fair though, I hardly use my Mini now due to how bad Safari is on it. So, I guess I might not be using it enough to see bugs.
This is the same post I seen every year.
I only remember a crazy amount of bugs at the beginning of iOS 9. No other iOS was that bad for me when it came to bugs.
9.3.5 was awful. I updated to an iOS 10 beta to get away from it. iOS 10 has been rock solid, I wouldn't go back to slow iOS 9 for anything.
What device are you using? I am just wondering.

I really think this is the case, but I don't want to risk it with iOS 10 on my iPhone for now. I will wait until iOS 11 is coming soon to upgrade to 10.

It is interesting that Apple acknowledged the problem on the 6s but never did with any other version. I know plenty of people who had this issue on the 6 as well before iOS 10 came out.

That was on my iPhone 6s. It introduced a weird lag that made my iPhone feel a little slow. I was going to try a clean install but ended up trying a beta of iOS 10 (it was a later beta and I had heard good things) and found the experience so much better (both in speed and functionality) that I never went back to iOS 9.3.5.

It's certainly no indication that users prefer iOS 10 given the level of harassment/arm twisting iOS does when it wants to update, and the complete lack of any way of reverting from an update that causes problems or is disliked.

I think I'd rather 9.3.3 with a jailbreak than iOS 10.

Have you ever met a person who tried to resist? They tend to be angry with Apple with all the Upgrade Now alerts. Then they give in.

not true, I am not angry with Apple and I sm still using IOS 9, I like the IOS and do not see a need to goto IOS 10.

Can't imagine why this is newsworthy. "Company Issues New Firmware. People Adopt It."

i would not recommend buying any Apple products too much trending the wrong way. Apple does not support defective devices which with the original cost should not be a problem as long as it's not a wear and tear issue however a defect should not be a question. The fact of OS cycling out of use is a joke when a product like an IPAD that one pay's very good price for after 3-4 years will cycle out of use as far the OS system will no longer update and after so many the APP's will no longer support the lower OS then the product is worthless. Apple makes way too much money off their products to allow this to happen or even not take care of their customers one day when they do this to so many customers and the customers turn to another company other than Apple then where will Apple be? broke? workers will lose their job and so on. Seems like this has been going on for a couple years maybe has something to do with leadership who knows i know one thing though i have all Apple and i will not get another IPHONE due too the IPHONE6 plus has battery defect where the battery will die say complete dead then once plugged it boots back up with the battery being at the correct charge not zero. this is a defect that Apple wants to deny. then the fact of products cycling out of use has been enough for me to realize Apple could careless and i will post on all social media also and i will not buy anymore Apple products. what you think about that mr tim cook? hope all reads.

Daily nagging and failing sync with iTunes makes the transition worthwhile, every time.
[doublepost=1483653519][/doublepost]
when are we going to get the ability to default our email , maps, message, and calendar to other apps?

seriously apple - do you want me to go to android?

apple maps - decent but not great - waze is better for many of us
mail- dear god - this is absolute garbage. largely ignored by apple. gmail awesome
calendar - again garbage - apple did you forget about updating this ? google calendar is sweet
imessage - emojis - thank the lord ! - okay i still like the blue imessages - is this the only hold you have on me?

Still not able to manage or even create groups in address book. What a joke.
