Looks like iOS 10 will work better on devices with 3 GB of ram or more seeing that the device will be handling more tasks so the rumored update to 3 gb ram on the iPhone makes more sense now. iOS 10 will be handling more background tasks in which users with lower ram may run into issues....mark my word. There is a reason why android devices need so much ram and that's all the background tasks and notification features and widgets running behind the scenes..iOS is becoming like android.
Most of these things already work that way prior to iOS 10. Most people already running iOS 10 beta 1 on existing devices aren't running into some sort of performance bottlenecks.

They haven't had it long enough to run into bottlenecks, we will see overtime....

The removal of core apps is a good addition finally, was really becoming bloatware for some users. Some nice little changes were done. Though android / iOS are just copying each other these days, switching is a lot easier I guess ...

apple needs to allow us to enable default apps and I'm shocked about game center. Must have been a scott forstall idea so they've killed it off like how they killed him off.

I'm not sure if it's been touched on, but does 3D Touch work for anything else besides the torch?

I'll find it frankly laughable if we STILL cannot have some type of additional Wifi networks, BlueTooth devices, etc in the swipe up tray. But can only use it to select the brightness of a torch

Can anyone give a review on the glance feature when picking up the phone?

My girlfriends motorola has it so that if you wave over the phone it will show the lock screen notifications, even turn off an alarm... I would love something similar.

I feel like just about the only apps that shouldn't be removable are the App Store and settings app. But this is a giant leap in the right direction, regardless.

Not surprised Game Centre has gone, it was irritating as hell.

I was convinced Apple could have given it a new life by moving games out of the App Store and into Game Center.

Surprised they got rid of it all together.

Maybe the phone app ;)

With the new alarm clock, is it possible now that you can set the lenght of the 'snooze time' manually? I always fall back asleep in those 9 minutes snooze time of the apple alarm clock

So instead of realizing that in 2016 flash memory is insanely cheap, Apple adds a "feature" to automatically delete stuff you haven't used in a while.

Yes, because there nothing to gain for them anymore, now you are allowed. :)

Game Center has been removed!?! Whatever will gamers do now? ;)

Yes, I will need to in therapy.

Great that we can remove all those apps but why is this idiotic Photo Booth not removable?

You don't make selfies? Why did you buy a iPhone in the first place? What? to call people, come on.......

The things I don't like:

-The Control Centre layout
-The quick reply on the new notifications
-the music app with its ENORMOUS text and buttons
-the new folders UI

Umm did I miss something what can you control look and feel wise? I don't consider being able to delete stock apps a way to control look and feel. I was hoping they would let you move icons were you want (no auto arrange top left) let you change the notification sound for any app, and let you set third party apps as the default app for that function. Throw in a winter board type app to set icon themes and I'd be a happy iPhone user. Pretty simple tweaks that for some reason apple keeps avoiding. Not loving that the ui look is getting very disjointed the music app fonts, new notification look = yuk. At least Androids material design is consistent and fairly clean.

No-one's keeping you from switching to Android if you like that better? Freedom of choice=good!
So much for trying to save space when deleting useless apple apps. BAD APPLE!
How much space do you expect to gain when those apps are deleted? 5MB? 10MB? It's not like those apps will ever free up half a gigabyte or so.

aren't they all still different apps, you can use siri now though

The idea is they all go through the Phone app - so everything looks like a native phone call - you watched the keynote right?

Of course the apps are still installed and managed separately but the API lets them seamlessly integrate with the phone app and it also adds the contact details for all the different VOIP services to phone book so you can initiate a WhatsApp, Facebook, Skype etc VOIP call directly from the phone app too - you never need to use the other apps again for calling if you don't want.

Can someone PLEASE tell me if you can do more than just block 1 specific number. eg block an entire area code (407-xxx-xxxx)
With the amount of unsolicited telemarketing calls I'm bombarded with each day, this would be immensely helpful. For the record, I receive 3-4 calls each day all coming from a different state in the U.S. (And yes, my mobile number has been registered multiple times with the national do not call registry.)

Tips was equally as pointless - surely some kind of optional initial walkthrough of key features at set-up of a new device would have been more useful - with the option to relaunch it hidden in settings somewhere.

I don't think game center is totally gone as it was mentioned during the presentation of WatchOS 3 when they mentioned that developers would be able to incorporate game center into future watch apps.
