It’s funny because people that have been running the betas since June have been complaining about it. Figured it would be something they could just tweak quickly and there were bigger things to worry about. Here we are a month after public release and it’s still not fixed in the betas for an upcoming public launch. Yeesh.

This should get the beta thread riled up.....*grabs popcorn*

This is not a bug. This is an ad by Apple.

Word in Hollywood is Apple bought the rights to the TV show "24." Apple executes are working with producers to reboot the show. But this time, counterterrorism agent Jack Bauer fights the bad guys of the world, a day at a time using only Apple products. Kind of how Hawaii 50 is a Windows show, "24" will highlight products of the Apple ecosystem while providing compelling drama to the viewer.

the entire 11 OS is a Bug and worst update and version of iOS to date...lack of consistency in User Interfaces. Beyond Sluggish and basic iphone features don't even work. Even after clean install. Good thing Apple Leadership is focused on the Quality. Apple Leadership needs to go...sloppy software for the past 10 years, greedy, political and not serving the Apple Community

Wish they'd "fix" more than just calculator, remove all the animation input blocking throughout

Oh crap - iOS 11 is worse at math than the Pentium!

I remember ~4 years ago I saw an ad for the Microsoft Surface on the Boston subway where you could see an Excel document was open and if you looked at the document, there was clearly a math issue. I suspect it was just a matter of they hadn't hit return yet, but it was kind of funny that the marketing department picked that particular image.

Typical Apple they like to inflate everything in their products. Now they wanna do that on their calculator too. I’m sure you’re getting those inflated steps on your Apple Watch too.

How do you screw up a calculator. code it once and it never has to be touched again. the calculator app hasn't changed in years

Reminds me of the time the engineer called Microsoft Premium Support because when he held down the shift key and hammered the F7 key dozens of times time it caused the server to bluescreen. Their official response was "yeah, don't do that".

I got this in 1978 and it worked perfectly and still works perfectly...

Well they haven't released 11.1 yet. Still have time to make one more fix. Hopefully this post gets enough visibility to do something.

It can get more interesting with other functions. For instance, multiplication gets really big, really fast, and you can divide by zero, finally!

When is Apple going to deal with input blocking that's plagued iOS since 7.0?

It's insane that it's still here endlessly blocking input. I have to repeat probably every third tap or swipe that I do because it simply ignores it.

Enough to drive you mental when you're trying to do something as quickly as possible.
