I would guess this is whats taking so long... it’s not a calculator bug per se, it’s a bug in the OS code. When they fix the underlying issue, it will solve this type of input blocking issue in a variety of different places, not just calculator.Wish they'd "fix" more than just calculator, remove all the animation input blocking throughout
A calculator app is supposed to be a high school level project. Yet apple cannot get it right. This is extremely embarrassing.
Add recurring alarm and calendar issues to the list.
If you quickly press the clear button repeatedly after the addition you get all the animations on the plus button.

Gosh I wish I stayed on 9.3.5Still on beautiful and snappy 9.3.5 = stable as a rock!
Umm yeah, it’s a bug. The app not being able to recognize taps fast enough is a bug.It bothers me that people are making this a "thing".
If you type 1+2+3 it will give you 6. EVERY SINGLE TIME.
If you on the other hand type it faster that the app can recognize the taps, then it produces another result which is understandable. Come on people, hardly a bug, more like a usability flaw, which im sure Apple will fix.
When people complain about such stupid things it takes away from actual worthwhile complaints.
So it’s a bug that Apple is aware of and is fixing. But let’s make it a front page story because clicks.
Meanwhile the Pixel 2XL has major display issues including burn-in

I had not seen before that there was a calculator in OS 11. Ok, so I decided to give it a try, and to see if i could reproduce the bug.
Unfortunately, it returns 12, not 24 (yes, I am not kidding, 12, and I tried 5 times with the same result). So disappointed I do not get 24 as everybody else... snif... can we not all have the same bug then ?
