I'm holding off for as long as I can, still trying to find alternatives to my "must have" 32bit Apps. :-(
I really don't think people are reading about app slowdowns. Some people may be more cautious if they heard about problems with iOS 10 installations. Some people might be waiting for a new phone rather than updating a phone they're about to replace. The iOS 11 update has not been affected by installation issues like iOS 10 was, but there have been some reports of app slowdowns and performance drops, which could potentially be holding people back from installing until a later date.
Apple also delayed several key iOS 11 features, including peer-to-peer Apple Pay and iCloud storage for iMessages, another reason that some users might not yet be inspired to download new software.
Why?... they're all yummy.... and who doesn't like Oreos.... less boring than a plain number.is android serious with their OS names
This is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. This is exactly why I will never update my phone after I buy it. Thieves are always trying to hack into the latest devices, and will forget about the old OS's.
I think I'll stick to 10.3.3 on my 6s for a few more weeks.Just downgrade. You sound like it's unfixable. I did a clean update to 11 on my iPhone6 128Gb and it slowed it right down. Totally unacceptable. Just restored it to iOS10 while Apple is still signing it and my phone is now perfect. Smooth super fast and battery lasts all day long just like before. Screw major Apple updates.
Considering Apple all but forces you to upgrade I'm not surprised
Lead me to the article that shows running iOS 9.3.5 puts others at risk or better yet affected someone's iPhone by stealing all there info because they didn't upgrade to the latest iOS version. I've never heard of 1 forum member or any article ever published of a user regretting not updating because they feel victim to iOS fraud or scheme. Using your iPhone wisely goes a long way...So you're putting yourself and others at risk by running obsolete insecure software? That's clever.
Trust me, android is fine with this. I left because of how slow my apple phone got after a forced upgrade that couldn't be undone. And pleases don't insult me by saying I wasn't forced.
My Air 2 is the same; stutters everywhere and apps taking twice as long to open. Say what you like about android about how they get slower over time, but you get the option to uninstall and change the OS as often as you like. I really wasnt going to update because several of my banking apps are still 32 bit, but relented thinking they will update them. My own fault.
Try a clean iOS 11 install using iTunes. Wipe it, fresh iOS 11 install, fresh install apps. This will go a long way to clearing up problems and issues. Incremental updates on a major iOS refresh usually result in lag and other problems.
View attachment 721405 View attachment 721406 Wrong. When Apple relentlessly pesters you DAILY to update iOS, that is NOT "choosing" to update. Choice by the force of a gun is not choice.
Install a tvOS beta profile and you won't be bugged. As long as Apple doesn't bug me about updating with multiple notifications each day, I will be just fine with iOS 10.
Not for a little while at least. Most likely still need to go through a developer/public beta phase, which hasn't even started just yet. When is 11.1 coming out?
So true. Even with their iOS updates and processor capabilities, new iPhones are not even beating out a S8 plus in application speed and ram management. Thats just why adopting the latest full OS update doesn't change certain things.

Apple is working on all those updates for some time already internally based on how software development lifecycle goes.It had better start soon. Apple almost immediately acknowledged new glitches (e.g. the static voice calls on some phones) less than a day after they were publicly reported.
In fact, they better be feverishly working on the WatchOS update too. The initial shipments and reviews reporting the LTE connectivity issues….. the news of that has already translated into terrible doom and gloom prognosis for the AppleWatch 3.
Considering the iPhone 8 is supposed to have a faster processor then the Galaxy S8 I think all this video proves is that Samsung has much better optimized software. It's surprising how much Samsung as improved their software over the past couple years. Samsung seems to be getting smoother and quicker while Apple is the one getting the stutters and slowing down. iOS 11 is mediocre on my Air 2. It's got as many little stutters as a 4 year old build of Touchwiz and the battery doesn't last nearly as long anymore. I like the new features, but it needs a lot of polish applied to it.
I'm guessing tens of millions of active older 32-bit devices will eat into the overall stats (4, 4s, 5, iPad 4 & older).

My iPhone 6 has been smooth as glass since I got it nearly three years ago. Install iOS 11, and stutter, stutter, stutter, freeze, delay, stutter. OMG, I'm so sad. My phone was still working perfectly, until yesterday. I should NOT have upgraded.
Likely to be with the release of iPhone XWhen is 11.1 coming out?
