The 6S is still being sold brand new, and on postpaid accounts no less. I'm willing to bet 6S and SE will also get iOS 13, but I think this is the end of the line for the 5S and the 6.
I’m good with that, we have SEs. Just hope our 12.9 iPP 1st gen also qualify.

This sounds like exactly what my 2018 iPad Pro needs to be fully worth what I paid for it. I LOVE the hardware design and the edge-to-edge screen, and it's fast as hell. When I'm doing a single, focused task, or limited multi-tasking, the Pro is a great device to work on. But SO OFTEN I hit a wall because I can't run two instances of an app and moving files between apps is still a confusing hot mess. I am sure Apple finally realizes they need to fix this, or they will no longer be able to convince people to drop that much dough on a premium iPad. It's time to add the power of a Windows machine to an iPad. I hope this happens.

FinalCut for iPad Pro would be nice. I don't think editing with a finger is very efficient compared to a mouse, but one can start doing a rough cut, and finish it at home on a desktop. It requires much better file organization features, instead of dumping all photos and videos in a single, unorganized "camera roll" directory.

If you find out tell me. I’ve heard people talking excitedly about dark modes on computers for decades. It’s light colored text on a dark background. Whooopie.
Well, if you have an oled phone it could* extend battery life, that’s quite a good bonus. Other than that I think it’s just aesthetic preference. I find iOS looks horrible at night with the retina scorching white everywhere :p

* provided it actually is *black* and therefore the pixels in question are switched off

Mark my words. They'll find a reason to only permit iPhone 7 and newer to upgrade. Everyone else will have to buy new phones if they want the cool, new features.

Idk how you could say something so stupid, considering iOS 12 is supported by iPhones from 2013.
[doublepost=1548885479][/doublepost]Will iOS 13 be running on the secret Chinese spy chips that Bloomberg made up?!

Images and videos look like an acid trip though...
I'm sure it's not perfect in every case, but the "smart invert colors" isn't a straight color wheel swap like invert colors used to be (though the old version is still available as well). "Smart" means it's supposed to programmatically detect images and videos and leave those colors untouched.

In my experience it works pretty consistently in apps like YouTube and Facebook, and most blessedly the browser, though at least in the case of YouTube I don't use it because the app already has a perfectly functional dark mode. Hence the reason it's mapped to triple-click for me; I turn it on when I want it, and it's easy enough to turn it off if I don't need it or it accidentally inverts a photo or something.

I'm bloody curious what's it going to be like on the iPad, where the only iOS12 "update" in a whole year was mucking up multitasking, gestures and the control centre just so they resemble the iPhone X.

They need to push forward. Yesterday proved that their phones are too good and last too long. I see at least SE and 5S dropping support.
I'm a little confused about your intent with this post, but you do realize that an "at least" measure including the SE means that the 6s and 6s Plus would also be losing support, as they have virtually the same hardware... so you're agreeing with the OP that iOS 13 will require a 7 or newer?

Multiple Do Not Disturb schedules, please! Been sending in feedback requests for a long time and this would make my wife very happy! Happy wife happy life! You know it!
Or an option to only enforce Do Not Disturb for calls. There are times when I can’t be interrupted by a call, but would still like to get app notifications and messages.

My guess, for what it's worth, they phase out the A7 only. They are still selling A8 devices, iPad mini, iPod touch, Apple TV, HomePod. It would be poor form to stop updates for that already.

My current car doesn’t have CarPlay but I’m looking at a new car with it. Is CarPlay a self contained kind of “app” in infotainment systems that can be updated without needing to go back to the dealer (or buy a new car...)?

If iOS 13 has dark mode, split screen apps, and an always on display for OLED phones? I’ll be quite estatic.

Can we get “Select All” in iOS Mail? It’s been billons of years since earth was formed, and we still can’t “Select All”.
Yes you can get it already. For about $1500 you can get a mac with full blown macOS that has select all in mail. That is what I did :/

I believe basically Carplay is a simplified interface baked into iOS that outputs a display when it detects a compatible head device (the infotainment system). Updates to Carplay are in iOS updates so therefore you would not need to update the actual system in the car unless something major changes in the future.
