I just recently thought a dodo is what's missing on my iDevices. One day there will be an emoji for every word in the dictionary. Egyptians already tried that, it's stupid.

Find out about the authorship of this infantile madness before you accuse the wrong people
Sounds like the "/s" at the end there was overlooked.

So much time and so many resources are devoted to the Politically Correct Emojis instead of actually shipping products and software that does not require seemingly endless UPDATES to correct problems, much like our friends at Microsoft. Steve Jobs made it a strong point to not ship products or software until they were READY and clean. I guess Tim Cook would rather let the customers be the Quality Control Engineers, that saves more time for his meaningless Emojis. Too bad, Apple customers are tiring of the misplaced efforts to play instead of perform "insanely great" design and engineering.
Doesn't seem likely that those involved with emojis are somehow getting in the way of others who are working on all the other things.

I mean, yeah.

If you're sincerely asking what the "Nobody:" meme means: it's basically the new version of "solution in search of a problem", or "nobody was asking for this".

Say, for example:

Nobody:
Absolutely nobody:
Disneyland: Hey people, we're reopening in the middle of a pandemic!

But I don't think you were actually sincerely asking. You already know what it means; you just disagree with it. So, I think you're gonna have to accept being called old and cranky in response.
But you’re wrong. I have genuinely asked this question several times on Reddit and nobody has explained it. It has just never made sense to me. I’ve never actually seen it used here so thanks for taking the time.

Emoji are not Apple’s inventions.

Wish there was a way to hide selected emojis. I don't want any of this cringe 'woke' nonsense like man breastfeeding baby or Mx Claus or disabled queer black transgender muslim lol

is no-one going to say anything about the text on the coin "The Crazy Ones" 😂

Somebody help me out here: The magic wand emoji there instantly reminded me of an old-school MacOS app icon that had something along the lines of a top hat getting tapped by a (I think very similar looking) magic wand... but I can't for the life of me remember what that app was now. I went through everything I could think of and came up empty.

Somebody with a better memory help me out?

Aside: It never ceases to impress me that people seem to be unaware that the ever-expanding Unicode emoji list is set by an outside organization and Apple is just implementing them as they're formalized, exactly like every other major OS maker does. Do people genuinely think that whatever graphic design person or team works on the Unicode emojis would be off fixing bugs in another area of the OS if they weren't keeping up with the standard? Like the font designers and graphic designers are just lazy framework coders who do emoji when they're slacking off on more important projects?

Why does the world needs so many emojis? Back in the day ascii symbols ":) and :-(" were used to express feelings, so cool they included some very popular things like a heart and a thumbs up. but why do we need an image for everything that exists out there? Who wants to use a mammoth or a boomerang in his chat?

This is literally turning into hieroglyphs

Hum. I assume you don’t mean PS‘s magic wand tool.
