No excuses for anything. Just information. Sorry if that somehow hurts.
Lack of information but I understand. You made a nonsense claim and can’t explain it so deflect. It’s ok. I understand. Anyone can talk rubbish online.

Oops . . . I guess they've really marketed them well!You mean earpods

My claim was only nonsense to the extent you’re not able to or are unwilling to grasp or accept what I said. And that’s OK. No need to get worked up over a pair of EarPods.
I cannot wait to read all the Apple fans with Stockholm syndrome about how this is the best thing ever. Apple will giver you less but keep the price the same. Wow. They are so amazing.
Like when Apple stopped including Apple care for education purchases in the UK?
Tim Cook's Apple is one of beancounters.
Your claim was unsubstantiated. Does not hold up to scrutiny within Apple’s own product line. Simple as that.
They're the largest company in the world because they don't take a hit if they can avoid it. Having worked for large corporations for over 20 years one thing I can say for certain is that while money is always the first priority there are always other factors that influence decision making. No one wants to work for a soulless company that only cares about money. Having other impacts on community or elsewhere, like the environment, motivates people more. We all want to make an impact. To think otherwise is naive.Already saw it and do not agree. Apple sources in large volumes. They can take the hit. What have they removed from the iPad with equivalent sensor?
OH MY GOD he’s talking about number 3 pencils and not number 2 pencils Calm down dude so angryThe story is about EarPods, not adapters.
No need to wait. Already out in full drivel within this thread. Bending over backwards to defend Apple.

Apple should only allow you buy a phone every 3 years if they are serious about the environment. Thats a serious reduction in e-waste. Make Macs every 5 years. Now we are talking real environmental savings.$29? Free airbus are probably no more than 99c to manufacture but they do contribute to pollution in their manufacture and disposal. Why contribute more if you don't need to?
They are replacing something some people use with something no one uses. Got it.Removing the wasteful and unwanted EarPods will help, even if just a bit, subsidize the LiDAR sensor, a relatively costly unit.
Apple would have to be incredibly stupid including EarPods at this point in time.
In the end, removing EarPods will help keep Apple's very reasonable 38% GPM / 21% NPM in check. A good move.

no one needs a 5w charging brick or EarPods. I'm glad Apple removed them so that they can spend some of the extra money saved in other areas of the product. people who think Apple is simply pocketing the extra money that was saved by not including these extra accessories are likely wrong.
Where am I wrong? What are you smoking?
Its actually a reductum ad absurdum argument...I mean if you want to know. The point is anyone talking about e-waste is just making excuses because there are easy things Apple can do that would impact e-waste by multiple powers than the things they are doing, but they would impact their profits so we just assume that absurd. But its all absurd. They are trying to save money and a bunch of suckers praise them for it by citing magic words about E-waste.Strawman argument. Don’t be absurd.
No one uses EarPods. Jimmy Iovine said it the best: Earpods are there "to see if the sound works".They are replacing something some people use with something no one uses. Got it.

He said it after Apple bought them out. He doesn't need to *sell* anymore. He even said it in front of Eddy Cue's face which is a bad look for Apple.Jimny sells headphones. Of course he will say something ridiculous like this.
They should just provide a voucher with each sold device that is redeemable for a pair of earpods at any apple store OR redeemable for a $30 (or whatever the RRP of earpods are) discount on the purchase of a pair of airpods.
Many won't redeem them since they genuinely don't need them so environmentalists win. Apple save on the average unit cost and get an additional opportunity to upsell, so they win too. Consumers don't lose out at all and potentially gain a discount on airpods if they were looking to buy them also.
Everyone wins
