iOS 14 Beta 4 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Can anyone tell me if the widgets are working correctly? Or are they still buggy?

Everything runs super smooth for me, widgets included.

But I am running it since 15 minutes so take that into account as well.

First time I’m having legit issues trying to install an update... neither iPad nor iPhone would even SEE the update, until I turned wifi off... then keeps erroring out when I turn wifi back on to download the actual update. Went the ipsw route, and got errors on my Mac. This is weird.

iPhone 8 Qualcomm modem firmware updated to 6.03.01. Also, it feels really good to have 3D Touch back, and this concerns me (for my plans of buying newer iPhones without 3DT).

I should also add that 3D Touch feels far smoother and instant than ever.

I missed 3D Touch so much. That’s why I’m upgrading to an Xs Max instead of an 11 Pro Max. Once that’s reached the end of its life, I’ll have to bite the bullet and move to long press.

You’re probably gonna have to do a full restore, and then update from there. That’s what I’m doing. Annoying as all hell.

it stalled for like 30 minutes then jumped another 15% or so and has stalled again for about 10 minutes. So it moved so I have hope it'll move again...

Anyone having issues updating their apps? When I press the update all button or the single app update button it spins and then reverts back to showing I need to press it. 12 apps that won't update. Very frustrating.

I am very disappointed that the clock widget still does not keep proper time! I thought
for sure it would be fixed in this release.

Really strange. I restarted and now the news widget completely gone, and it’s missing from the list of widgets. Maybe Apple removed support for it?

EDIT: I deleted the app again, did a soft reset, and reinstalled and it’s finally there now. Thank you so much!

Kinda surprised actually. In the past when a major new feature was released, it usually showed up in the next beta. I’m on a trial right now so it would be nice to try it before it ends

It tells you when people close to you haven't done up the zipper on *their* pants.

That's quite common. I like to think of it as going sideways rather than better or worse.

The release notes have quite a few entries about widgets messing up after the upgrade to this beta. The fix is to delete and re-add the widget.

Wow... so I guess it’s finally just a no-go for me. I cannot install this beta on any of my devices. Super weird. I can turn wifi off of my phone and tablet, and it’ll show in Software update then, but obviously I can’t download it. Turn wifi on, and it errors out. Downloaded the ipsw files, and they error out on my Mac. Now, when I go to my developer page and try to download the files, I get a 404 error. Something is up... any ideas?

Interesting ... IPP 11 - I can touch anywhere on the screen for 1.5 seconds to put it into wiggle mode and touch anywhere on the screen to kill wiggle mode.
