I enjoy the beta game and am usually able to live with the bugs that come with it but that one was persistent and severely degraded the experience for me. I'm honestly pretty surprised they let that one through.

Some days, it feels like a pious carelessness on their part when they let issues like this pass on, even in beta.

Coming from a magazine design background, editing photography has been a large part of my career, so for me, photo 2 although the contrast needs to come up a little bit, the colours look more realistic.

Photo 1 feels too harsh, too sharp, over contrast and saturation.
Photo 2 would go proudly in Hooch weekly, with a slight tweak to contrast for freshness, just a shame we cant see her face ?
Couple of quick ones this fine morning (Halide)

Anyone else using Apple Carplay and have their Google Maps navigation freeze upon start? Only way to fix it is to kill the app and relaunch it.

Have not tested Google Maps with CarPlay, however wanted to mention that the Google Maps app has an update for the iPhone this afternoon. Hopefully that may (will) resolve your issue.

I’m having phenomenal battery life tbh. But I miss seeing my picture in the Settings app. I have to tap it for it to appear. And this darn auto-brighten not working is killing me.

How many phone numbers do you have associated with Messages? I have two so it won’t let me choose except like the first time.

You don’t need to put the phone in restore mode, that’s a bit old school.

If your on a mac, download the IPSW you want to downgrade to.
Plug your phone into your mac and through finder select your phone.
Hold alt and click on “check for update”
Button, Then select your IPSW.

Phone will delete and reinstall the iOS, only. Data is safe.
Just followed your steps and downgraded my iPad Pro. Worked like a charm. Like iOS 15.2 beta 3, iPadOS 15.2 beta 3 had some issues with Apple Music I posted here that were just really annoying for me. I'll probably stay off the beta train unless they release a really cool feature which I can't imagine they'll do. The only thing left for iPadOS at this point is a complete overhaul and rethinking of how they are going to fragment it and cater productivity for for the Pro models or keep the Pros held back in which case iPad Pro sales will begin to plummet. I love my iPad Pros but a 1TB 12.9 with Magic Keyboard is just about as expensive as a 14" MacBook Pro. That's insane.

I have a similar issue with CarPlay and Waze - CarPlay starts, Waze appears to load, I tap my destination from a list of previous destinations and it hangs/never gets GPS. I check my iPhone and it’s not even running (upper left hand corner of iPhone screen). I have to launch Waze on my iPhone, force close it and then tap on Waze from CarPlay and we’re good.

Yep since beta 3 came out. Everyday I use CarPlay and Google maps freezes and so does my other apps like TomTom Go, Sygic. Can’t wait until tomorrow update but I’m not expecting many bug fixes everyone experiencing. Auto brightness is a killer bug!!

Does this fix the links issue where it will take multiple attempts to open links from apps or in safari?

It’s brilliant, quick and easy… the more people know about it the better as by default a lot think you have to do a long painful restore and lose data. This way was made for beta testers to easily jump back/forward or refresh your iOS when in need. Which takes the anxiety out of being on a beta because you have so much confidence with this control.

Glad it all went smoothly buddy.

Some extra personal tips, I always quit out of apps first, and restart the phone and mac, just to be on the super safe side. Doing a full back up to mac should be standard practise also, just incase ??

The 14” MBP is insane. I’ve had one now for 2 weeks… I’ve got Spotify on, Indesign, photoshop, mail, doing a full 8hr day and I’m still left with 40% battery. Intel id get 3hrs and then plugged in all day.

Sorry little of topic but I’ve got to sing it’s praises, it’s the best Mac I’ve ever used and I started my Mac passion on a Performa.

If they don’t release beta 4 today, I will find your method and downgrade to 15.1.1. Beta 3 is really irritating.
