What is spykit?

What is spykit?
This is RC, which is usually the same version for general release. Looking at Apple’s attitude towards bugs, they probably would just release the fix with 15.7.2, with enough time for unknowing people to think something’s wrong with their phone and buy the new iPhone instead.Hope Apple fixes it before it is finally released to the public.
True but not helpful when it comes to the article, as none of the listed devices have Face ID. Might clarify that wording @arn ?Some users are not interested in updating to iOS 16, so it is important that Apple addresses this issue in iOS 15.7.1. There are also some devices that are compatible with iOS 15 but not iOS 16, including the iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, first-generation iPhone SE, seventh-generation iPod touch, iPhone 7, and iPhone 7 Plus.
Yet you brought it up. I’m guessing you realised it was a silly comment without foundation.I edited/deleted that post because I can’t be bothered to have that discussion 👍

"It compiled without errors? Ship it!"People often use the "it's beta" excuse but Apple keeps breaking things seemingly unrelated to new releases.
What features were added in 15.7 which might have led to a broken 15.7.1-update?Users should take a good hard look at themselves and ask why they demand Apple keep adding new features year after year after year, but then expect 100% stability. Can't have both.
I Agree. Imagine if they had released it like that.At least the bug was caught before being released to the public, imagine broken FaceID for millions of people still on iOS 15.
Having just switched from a TID phone to a FID one, I have to agree. It’s really my only complaint about the 13 Mini. That's because Touch ID > Face ID

I just never heard of SpyKit before. Thought it was something new. But it turns out there is a kids toy called Spykit avail on Amazon. I guess you’re talking about one you made up? I can see why you don’t want to discuss it. 😂I thought better of it because I couldn’t be bothered to have that conversation. Fairly straightforward really.

I let the whole idea of what you said go along time ago. If people want to come on here, just to make stuff up then why shouldn’t they be called on it, or at least asked about it?I already explained twice why I edited/deleted the comment. Why are you still talking about it? Let it go 👍
From now on, FaceID only works with your hand in-front of your face. All I can say is, "FACE PALM!"
You explained nothing.
Fair enough. I get it. It’s hard to debate something that you just made up. 🤷🏻♂️I don’t have to explain anything. I deleted the comment because I decided I couldn’t be bothered to debate it. Hence removing it from the topic. That’s three times now.
It’s better for you because you wear something on your face. Someone working with gloves all day long could say the same thing about Touch ID. Doesn’t mean one’s better than the other.agreed... I still have to wear N95 respirators all day long for work and business travel... while my iPhone 13 Pro and 14 Pro Max are okay with my face being covered, I still think Touch ID is much easier. My spare phone(Android) has the fingerprint reader on the power button on the right side and it's so much easier in some ways.
You heard it here first — Face ID has gained an Ego Checker. Those that suffer from egomania no longer pass the verification checks. But don't worry, you can change your ways.

Oof, between this, the dwindling iPhone 14 Plus sales, underwhelming iPad announcements, delayed iPadOS 16.1, Stage Manager/external monitor controversies, and general iOS 16 stability issues, Apple is not having a great release cycle.
Sorry, but FaceID (or TouchID for that matter) not working under normal conditions and normal usage must be a bug that's caught before getting out into the public testing-profiles, especially when it's called "release candidate", not even some beta-version.You have to imagine, because it didn’t happen, and the system worked exactly how it should.
