While they’re at it can they fix the 10 year bug of the iPhone just hitting play on the last media watched or listened to on the phone when I get in my car? it will literally reopen closed apps and hit play as soon as the Bluetooth is connected, 100% of the time.

I have not had this issue, but if I try to make a call, it says "last line not available" Do you want to call using your remaining line? (I only have one line)
I had this happen to me last night on a non car play factory radio.

Apple support said that this is related to the EQ setting, if you have it on. Turn that off and restart your phone. This solved it. Will be fixed if u want to use eq soon.
I really crossing my fingers that Apple fixes this--among other bugs!--with the iOS 15.0.1 update that should be out within the next seven days. iOS 15.1 with more functionality won't be out until after the 14th of October 2021, in my opinion.

Every other day I wake up, we have another iOS bug. What has Craig Federighi and the iOS team was doing during the iOS 15 Beta period?
Do we need to bang their heads together or what?
They all need to get back into the office. Working from home is clearly the issue here, they literally phoned it in

It works now, but what a PITA. I did not have these problems on my 12 P while running the beta of iOS 15. I had less issues with the beta of 15 than the release.....
Agree there’s definitely been too many issues for people. I had the watch unlock Face ID problem which has now been patched with the beta 2 yesterday but what a stuff around!

This got stupid after the fourth/fifth article, I cannot believe iOS 15 has issues in this many key features. I expect bugs, but these reports are entire FEATURES that do not work.
But software updates are a feature. Android user get zero software updates.

I have an iPhone 11 and the following apps are not working since upgrading to iOS 15.

SiriusXM
TuneIN
iHeart Radio
Waze (Works most of the time however other times the GPS is frozen in an area I am not in.)

I checked my music setting on the phone and EQ is turned off.

Car is a 2021 Honda CRV Hybrid.

I’m on an iPhone 12 Pro Max with ios15 and I’ve recently been experiencing occasional issues with CarPlay where the car’s whole entertainment system crashes and reboots, not just CP itself. It doesn’t always happen, and the reboot only takes maybe 30 seconds or so, and everything is fine afterwards, but it’s annoying and startling nonetheless (as well as potentially dangerous while driving).

Ironically, iPhone 13 Pro/iOS 15 actually SOLVED a car connection bug I've had for 2 years.

My 2012 Elantra is pre-Carplay so I just used bluetooth pairing. Worked fine up through the iPhone X, but the 11 almost broke it entirely. For 6 months I could listen but 'hey siri' was broken. That eventually got patched, but the best it got was waiting for 3-5 minutes for pairing to complete, while completely freezing my Elantra's stereo/backup camera screen.

Now the 13 pairs in under 30 seconds. So yay? Good thing I didn't upgrade to a CarPlay car yet!

Apple should stop putting out hardware every year. For the last 5 years, there has been no radical change in the style of the iPhone (or iPad). Focus for a couple of years on the OS and refine it further. Put it through some serious testing. Start thinking about user experience improvements. Come on Apple, don't take the turn that Microsoft took several years ago.

Glad to know I am not crazy and, more important, glad to know the issue is not the car somehow. I was worried for an expensive repair.

note: however I have an iPhone 12 and this issue has been happening since I moved to ios15.
12 user here, not the same bug but CarPlay is definitely wonky post-update, for example after I end a call it kicks me out of CarPlay to the native car UI. Massive PITA if I was listening to music or had directions going.

There is just way too much $ involved in the yearly upgrade iPhone hysteria for Apple to do that.

I didn't have issues with directions, but sometimes my calls are not transferred to the car speakers, and the same time they're not on the phone either. The only solution I found so far is to hang up and call again.

I had that issue with the original beta release of 15, but it got resolved in a later point release and haven't had it since.
Don't have it now with 13PM or current 15. release. YMMV

Jesus, what’s up with all these bugs lol
Starting to think there’s something to that whole talk about doubling down on secrecy causing departments to not talk to each other

serious bugs that could cause users' photos to delete from their library

Whoa, damn, not good Apple. People will put up with a lot of stuff, but deleting their photos is not one of them. I'm turning updates off on my iPhone until this is resolved.

I have a bug on my iPhone X in Music as all by playlists are doubled -now there are two of each.
It works fine with my CarPlay no issue, although not that I really use it as the system in the car looks and works better.

I guess Apple are realizing you cannot have people sitting on the couch and working as a team.

I think I'll stop being an early adopter as reading about all these bugs are scary. I'll not update my MacBooks anytime soon as I live of my computers and cannot afford bugs and glitches.

CarPlay has been freezing up for me every time I get a phone call ever since iOS 14.2. I send a bug report to Apple every time an update is released and it still isn’t fixed

I really wish Apple would stop auto starting music when I connect my phone to CarPlay. This has been like this since at least iOS 12. It is really annoying and sometimes very startling. I seem to send Apple a request to change this every year and it still does not get changed.

In iOS 15, I like some of the changes that Apple has made. The report incident feature is nice but it makes little sense to put the report icon on the screen when you don't have a route gong and in the popup menu when you have a route going. Just be consistent on its placement. The other thing, I get a laugh about when Siri reads back the street name with "SW" in it. Siri pronounces it as "Sag-ju-t West". Probably a mistake in the pronunciation database. Siri does speak "SE" as "South East".
