In iOS 15 it would be much better if swiping up on a picture in the photos app gives the user more than just location. I would like to see all information for the file with the option to easily change the file's name right there. Also adjusting file size right there would be handy.

On the lock screen it would be cool if I saw my current speed and the speed limit for the road I am currently driving on when I tap the screen. Perhaps also a small tap icon as a direct link to opening maps.

It might be cool to have small security camera icons on maps a person could tap and view in Maps.

Why is current weather conditions still not on the lock screen?

Icons for the the last 3 or 4 open apps I am using could show-up on the lock screen. With one tap I can continue to use the app.

iOS needs native call recording.

When the device finishes charging to 100% it could play a sound or Siri could say "your iPhone is finished charging".

Apple Watch could show charge level for the iPhone.

It would be quite cool if MacOS & iOS could recognize text and hand writing in a PDF. For example, viewing a PDF in MacOS, with the mouse I expand a selection box over an area and it recognizes the text or handwriting.

The camera could have a LIDAR view. The longer and closer a person focuses on an object could refine the wire mesh of points on that object or space.

I think food diaries are best kept to separate apps. IOS shouldn't really be bloated with too much non-OS functionality.

I've made a quick Siri Shortcut for logging supplement intake with the Health app. I haven't cared as much for diet because it's such a hassle, but a native solution including both would be pretty cool.

I’m logging my food intake since the pandemic began, 400 days and counting, with MyFitnessPal.

I went from 99kg to 81.5kg without having to “diet” one single day… awesome feature to include in iOS.
Way to go man! Did you change what you ate or just portion control?

Put. The. Health. App. On. iPad. And. Mac. Please!!

I mean really, it’s been syncing to iCloud for years, there is absolutely no reason why we shouldn’t be able to view and manage our own health data on our own devices.

And if more features like food tracking are incoming, I’m going to want to see that data on the larger screen more than ever.

Anyway, I do like the idea of native food tracking coming to Health. As a frequent snacker trying to cut down on the habit, I use Lose It. That data already syncs to Health to record certain values and nutrients, but having one fewer third party app knowing what I'm up to would be nice.
I agree. Health data should be accessible on all devices signed into the same Apple ID. Maybe that will happen this year.

A few thoughts on iOS 15:
- Food tracking: Likely to be a database of US foods only, and thus completely useless to everyone not in the US. Leave it to the regional apps; they already do it better.
- It would be great if, when I connect a Lightning cable to charge my iPhone, that the Lock Screen wouldn't completely clear just to tell me how much it's already charged, thus delaying me from doing anything on my phone, like pausing an audiobook. Surely the Lock Screen could just show me it's charging without removing the screen's functionality?
- The Books app: When I've previously been playing an audiobook and I want to play a different chapter, I launch Books and the current chapter is paused. Great, so I go to the chapter list and tap the next chapter. I\m taken back to the now playing screen with the new chapter showing. I press the Play button, and what starts playing? The current chapter, NOT the one I just selected. I've bugged this so many times, so I'd like it to be fixed finally.
- The Music app: Please stop refreshing the screen almost every time I see the Listen Now tab. I'm about to tap something, and Music decides to refresh and apply that tap to the new item under my finger. Please, just leave the screen as it is; I should be able to refresh it myself with a pull-to-refresh motion.
- The Music app, again: The band "Space" from Liverpool; the ones who wrote "The Female of the Species", "Dark Clouds" and "Neighbourhood" are NOT the explicit rapper called "Space". They are not the same in any way other than their name. So, the Music app suggesting that I listen to the rapper because I've listened to "Dark Clouds" should not be a thing. Also, when I tap to see the albums for the Liverpudlian band, "Space", I really don't expect to see the albums of the rapper, "Space". How has Apple got this so wrong?!
- AirPods: When I put an AirPod in my ear and it automatically connects to the iPhone, I am able to play something to that AirPod. This is great, but I'd like iOS to NOT randomly disconnect that AirPod seconds after I put the iPhone on my MagSafe charger. Is it too much to ask that these two actions are kept entirely separate?
- The Lock Screen: The infuriating need for my iPhone to change what's playing on the Lock Screen because someone in a different room has asked a HomePod to play something, really needs to stop. What I have opted to play on my iPhone should be displayed on the Lock Screen. Just because someone in a different room has used a HomePod, does NOT mean I want my iPhone to show THAT. I have to go into the AirPlay settings and "Control Other Speakers & TVs" to get back to what should be there by default. This is the most annoying thing Apple did in iOS 14. They need to fix this.
- The Home Screen: Moving a widget shouldn't completely rearrange the icons on my Home pages. Getting it how you want is now a matter of trial and error rather than a designed flow. Terrible UX.
- Podcasts: Gods, please just fix this. Why are you listing podcasts by the date I subscribed to them?! Who does that?!
It is very hard to read that wall of text without paragraphs. The text all runs together. Consider an edit.

Which group of people has to track their food for medical reasons?

Diabetic people.

Remember the rumors about the watch being able to measure blood sugar levels?

This would be huge, especially in combination! The watch would know your blood sugar and also tell you the optimum intake.

And some people like me, just like tracking such things even though I don't have any weight or medical problems.

That is a good thought, Fabian. I think it is much too early for the watch tie-in. I don't think the tech is there.

this post is no more inside information than what Apple has already leaked inself.

These items are what shows up in the emoji characters eyes in the invite

code of food, dark mode messages, notifications
