Nope, enough with the tracking.. I don’t trust Apple nor App vendors who want to track my every move, sleep habits, food intake, medicine, books I read, stores I visit, and everything else that’s none of their business.! Sure, it may be disassociated data but that’s data out of my control. Even though Apple provided anti-tracking option I still believe this data mining still goes on without my knowledge. The only sure way to stop this tracking business is to turn off the smart phone, disconnect the PC’s from the internet and never use them again… But, then again I’m sure there are sophisticated algorithms that will accurately predict what I’m going to do, where I’m gonna go, what I’m gonna eat, and what I need based on data already collected… Gheeeeesh.. the Twenty-First Century….
I wouldn't be too surprised. A little coincidence, but I actually just signed up for myfitnesspal yesterday and it seems that most of the apps features are locked behind a paid subscription. If Apple provides the same functionality for free and built into iOS I think myfitnesspal might be looking at quite a few cancelled subscriptions.Oh that’s cool, then I can delete myfitnesspal. Then I’m sure an antitrust lawsuit will be filed 🙄
I think you might be getting a bit too hung up on the word "tracking" due to its negative connotation with an invasion of privacy. This is only "tracking" in the same sense that you would store any other useful data (reminders are tracking your day, notes are tracking your thoughts, etc.). We're probably just talking about entering calorie and macronutrient data for your diet so that you can keep track of how many calories you have left for the day to meet your weight goals, or keep track of carbs, protein, fats, etc.Nope, enough with the tracking.. Health app is over the top; just let us remove home bar and split screen
Food tracking as part of Health would be terrific, as it's a big missing component. The sync between MyFitnessPal and Apple Fitness/Health is... problematic at times.
Damn! That’s quite the feat.I LOVE the health app!
Having food content value as part of the app means UnderArmor’s MyFitnessPal (A great app for those watching their health) a solid iOS contender!
In the last week alone using:
Dumbbells, skipping rope, walking (and what Marvin Gaye would say is sexual healing)
MyFitnessPal
and better food intake … I’ve lost 10 kg in 2wks - 97Kg to 87Kg. Not easy for me (be it at 21 or now that I’m more than double that age).
I still look great but now I FEEL great.
Like one’s career, financial health, your physical and mental health is key to enjoying your life.
Good one. Maybe for that reason people are seeing blooms on the new iPad 12.9?Dark mode tweaks are pretty interesting especially on the verge of the Mini-LED backlight iPad. Would make sense to tweak a lot of the pitch black apps and make them more grey black to mitagate perceived blooming artifacts against a complete inky black background..
The hand washing toggle was fine in the beginning. I think it was horrible to add words after it’s done “good job” etc wtf. Less is more! That hand washing thing is kind of questionable to me, indeed. But obviously people do use it, so it is something useful.
As for the food tracking: I am surprised to see a lot of people, who do not know, what they eat (...3 BigMacs are kind of ok) Show these people might really help them, because there is no proof of what they do, unless it is in a list.
I do not have to use it, It is not disturbing me, just beeing there as an option. Someone might finally discover, what is going on, regarding daily - eehm - intake...
There are a lot of dark mode UI elements in iOS that are pitch black for no reason, especially the clock app where the LED blooming is noticeable. Its such a dark void of space in that app that it makes no sense to need to have it be pitch Black. Honestly they’re better off with going with more Off Black tones like this forum for instance. It’ll mitigate a ton of complaints with blooming and technically make it more in line with the older iPads since those displays can’t even reach a close to pure black background Like the new 12.9 inch and their blacks are more grey black like this forum Is in dark mode.Good one. Maybe for that reason people are seeing blooms on the new iPad 12.9?
It probably already does that when counting your steps thoughGreat, now my phone will remind me how unhealthy I am…
I'm sure you'll be able to turn off the notifications and eat your cake without feeling guilty. The mirror will remind you how unhealthy you are instead. 😂Great, now my phone will remind me how unhealthy I am…
This would be so imprecise that Apple is never going to do that.I envision it working like this: Apple uses the camera to scan your food and ML to identify it, and the LIDAR to take a volumetric scan to determine how much you’re eating. From there it can estimate caloric intake.
This could be so inaccurate that only Apple could still dare to master it successfully. This would be so imprecise that Apple is never going to do that.
