Biggest pita so far are apps that will freeze as if they are loading data. A kill and relaunch has fixed most however I have had to uninstall / reinstall a couple.

Shortcuts are a mess. :(

This update is just not available to me on my iPad. I've been on the beta profile for a month. I'm on the previous iPadOS 16.1 beta. I've rebooted twice now. It still says I'm up to date.

I've never seen this happen before. Anyone else?
It seems because you already have the same build as being offered. (so you are already up to date)

Does anyone know if this build fixes the weird siri bug introduced with 16.0 that causes the spoken SIRI response to cut out and not speak everything?

Back Story: I noticed that since upgrading to iOS 16, my iphone 12 Pro siri does not speak clearly on navigation and more, it does however work when on device you ask it something, but using apps or over BT, the spoken language is cut out, almost like a bad connection. Same issue with Siri Voice 4(English) on the shortcuts app.

Battery indicator now available on iPhone XR, 11,12/13mini starting from iOS 16.1

According to source code, there are some changes to icon itself since XR/11 don’t have enough pixels to display indicator sharply enough without distortion but icon has been tweaked for these devices.

If they had any sense they would scrap the battery icon altogether and just display a number, when toggled on of course. What point does the current icon serve? It displays a numerical number but doesn’t decrease in the power indicator aspect, it just stays a solid battery, which seems kind of stupid. It would make more sense to just put a number.

Software Update server is not reachable atm - I'm getting "Unable to check for update" - while already on iOS 16.1 beta 1, should be saying it's already up-to-date.

I would not, Aaron Zollo posted a video of changes, including this issue. Most likely it is a bug on beta 1.

Seems strange...widgets are placed higher with phone unlocked vs locked.

And it keeps creeping up after some time...

Oooof...had my first re-spring this year. Was just scrolling through Instagram and then sudden'y froze, graphical glitch with a bunch of different sized pink boxes on the screen...then poof. Phone did automatically ask about it and report sent.

Also have had an issue a couple of times with the app library where going into the app list, the top of the list with search and "cancel" option won't position low enough on the screen for me to actually use them.

Figures...launch OS is the worst one for me in 3 months. :p

Had a strange bug just now. I simply restarted my iPhone and when it rebooted, all my lockscreen widgets where gone and i noticed after a while that I did not receive push notifications from my work focus enabled apps. Also on my iPad i received a pop up that a new iPhone is using my iCloud now as well as a Pop up from iMessage saying that a new device (the iPhone) is now using iMessage.

Now 2 hours later the lockscreen widgets have randomly returned and I am also receiving push notifications again

My 3rd party widgets (home or lock screen) aren't updating, either at all or only when the app is opened.

This is relatively common for a first beta, but after the smoothness of 16.0 it's irritating.

So if it’s a bug on beta 1 how will we get to beta 2?!?
At this time, I am not sure. It is hard to say whether it is a local bug with beta 1, or a remote server issue. If it is in fact a remote issue, Apple should be able to clear it up in time. If it is a local bug, there can still be a chance that it will actually work when the new beta 2 is released, just too hard to tell right now. That is dependent specifically on why the error is appearing. I am hoping it is just a placemarker where it would normally tell you that it is up to date.
