I have a weird major bug in iOS 16.1 Beta 2 where calls would ring for 0.1 seconds, then hang up.
I had this on and iOS 15.x beta (I want to say 15.6 something), when the next beta came out, it was fixed.

I suspect it was a carrier update that was bad, then fixed.
Has anybody having problems with iMessage activation been trying all day no luck
I had this with the month long beta, iPadOS beta 6 maybe, iOS 16.1 beta 2 equivalent fixed it for me. I actually dug into the console logs and it was trying to send an activation pop up to my other devices for confirmation, and the originating device was doing it wrong (bug).

IPad Pro 11 2020

Second time today I have unlocked my iPad to this alert ‼️

16.1 beta 2 still hasn’t fixed bug for me where no 3rd party calendar apps show events/tasks on lock screen. Just says No Events all the time. Fantastical, Calendar 5 & 24Me not working.

Only apples stock calendar app working.

Anyone else ?

I'm seeing a lot more apps constantly run in the background even with background refresh off. Mainly Facebook and FindMy.
I’m on 16.0.2 and also seeing Facebook reporting huge amounts of background activity. However, my battery life (iPhone 13 Pro) is epic, so I’m wondering if it’s reporting incorrectly? I have background processing switched off for all apps.

Yes. Everyone else :)

Not just the lock screen; it doesn't matter where the widgets are.

You’re absolutely right . Just noticed the Home Screen widgets are totally messed up too ! Roll on beta 3 ! Or maybe 4 , or maybe ……..

My Home Screen 3rd party calendar widgets update. Not always immediately but the data does populate. It’s there now for instance.

Did a restore + Encrypted back on my 12 using 16.1 beta 2 IPSW this morning.

Phone feels awesome. And I’m finding generally and some apps loading much faster, DELTA, AMEX for example.

Got to love a restore to blow away any beta cobwebs. ❤️

System data dropped to 3.4 gigs from 14.8, and has stayed down. See what’s with that over the next few days.

I received a pop-up notification today, similar to when the battery hits 20%. It said that an app had been using activity in the background over the past 3 days, would you like to allow them to continue doing this? It’s weird because I also have background activity turned entirely off. What’s the point of the setting if apps are going to be allowed to ignore it?

Agreed, I also have background refresh turned off. Hopefully this gets fixed next week on beta 3.

Files app not allowing saving files in any folder from Microsoft Office app for iOS- save button of Office App disabled in Files app.

For me sleep widgets are not showing up on Lock Screen.
Further the alarm widget is also not showing up. Screen shot attached.

I got the same; I think it was moaning about the weather app. I also have backtround refresh disabled (have for years; I've no idea how it's meant to help as I've discovered absolutely no downsides).

It popped up right after I installed the latest beta. I ignored the message and it's not happened again.
