Fantastical Certainly hasn’t for me on my 12 Pro Max. Just constantly No Events shown on Lock Screen even when I most definitely have events & tasks.

Fantastical Lock Screen widgets have not worked for me since iOS 16.1 Beta 1 On my 12 Pro Max. Regardless of how many events or tasks I have for that day my Lock Screen widget just says No Events.
From what I’ve read, third party widgets cannot display calendar or reminder data if it comes from iOS, so if Fantastical is pulling data from iOS it won’t display. I have my calendar synced with Google and it’s in the widget but reminders sync with iOS and they don’t display.

I know it’s early but hoping for better battery life here. I moved off of betas to 16.0.2 and battery life is horrendous on my 14P. Appears Facebook in the background is causing the bulk of it. If that’s the case, this won’t really matter.

I think the difference between us and those who have it working is that we pull from our iCloud calendars and they don't.

That's my guess. Edit: as posted above too.

Fantastical , 24Me & Calendar 5 Lock Screen widgets always worked for me from the very 1st beta of iOS 16. These have only just stopped working for me since 16.1 betas.

Has anyone had issues restoring in to 16.1. Whenever I have device transferred or restored backup I can’t install any apps. Even stock apps have disappeared and won’t download. Click cloud in AppStore to download and it thinks then stops. All folders have disappeared. Even resetting - not erasing - does nothing.

This is with iPhone 14 Pro and Max.

I have had to rollback to 16.0.1 and change info.plist to work with 16.0.1. Once restored the apps install immediately.

If I do a clean install of 16.1 then it works no problem.

On re-reading, I think you’re right. My bad!

I’m still going to upgrade my 2018. 64GB’s doesn’t cut it anymore. But adding Stage manager doesn’t appear to be impacting performance (I’m typing this with 3 visible windows open and this one semi-minimized).
The main draw of Stage Manager is on an external display… imo.

I understand that 2018/2020 iPad owners feel they should get Stage Manager… but this decision impacts SM on an external display. 2018/2020 iPP owners rejoice while 2021 iPP owners have to take a step backwards… smh.

And I doubt I’ll update to the latest beta build due to this decision. No word on when Apple plans to bring it back…

Anyone having issue with cal events not showing on Lock Screen widget, give a try to Calendar 366 Lite. Beautiful app, watch complication, Lock Screen widget all working great with all day events etc.

Fantastical and default cal app is not working for me too.

Default calendar app works for me and always has.

Well, when I say it works, it has a huge bug that appears to only impact me : the widgets remove events from view once they're 15 minutes past the start time. I like events to show until they end.

Tried "Calendar 366 Lite" for a few seconds. Didn't work. Deleted.

This is probably why the following appears in FantastiCal’s settings:

Can't put my finger on it but feels animations feel smoother on 13P.

I’d agree on my 12. But I’m not sure about them when the app has been opened from the dock. I’ve said earlier, feel like you can see the stages of icon fanning out jumping back.

EDIT: ignore that, it must be how my eyes catch the animation as recording it and play it back half speed, you can see it’s well put together.

Maybe they sped it up to much which is giving off that smoothness feeling. 🤷🏽

i don’t know that the decision to port this to the older iPads is necessarily the reason for pulling the external display support.

I hope the same..facebook is also running in background on my 14pro for 8-9 hrs eating a lot of battery.
Reinstalling the app did not fix the issue.

The issue is the Facebook app. It’s a memory hog and a battery hog and always has been. I know some want it but don’t blame iOS for Facebook’s inability to build a responsible app.
