Anybody getting this screen in the TV app? Been doing it since last beta

If Virgin Media’s your ISP, they’ve had what appear to be DNS-related issues with a number of services for over a week now. Some people saw improvements over the last 24 hours but not all.

If you’re using VM’s default DNS you could try an alternative like Cloudflare. If you’re already using an alternative you could try another or going back to the VM default.

the thin white ring around dynamic island is only there if you are in dark mode and play music or something. ..

Unfortunately I don’t think that’s accurate. In the photo below, I don’t have any Dynamic Island residents (music, weather etc…) and I am not in Dark Mode (notwithstanding the darkness of the Lock Screen).

Hmmmm I have to go in dark mode to see it on my phone .. ill try a different wallpaper

Bug that requires an unlock every time before backing up my iPad to a trusted Mac via lightning cable persists. I've seen it mentioned in previous beta threads, yet Apple still thinks my Feedback FB11604777 is unique and nobody has reported similar behavior.

Ok figured it out something has to be active for the border to show up, you have the lock icon and it shows up I was able to duplicate your pic now.. so I stand corrected about dark mode my apologies

Completely agree. I like that it disappeared before. I mean, isn’t that the idea?

That seems like a clear bug though. If you look closely, on 16.0.2 if you wake the device from sleep (by tapping display, for example) it will display that outline for just a few milliseconds before the OS hides it.

I'm guessing this was not intentional and they fixed the oversight. When you're trying to rush a product to market, often times these details tend to get overshadowed. iOS 16's development hit many road bumps this past summer.

I think you're right but I hope you're wrong. Why make the pill even more ugly is beyond me. Looks much better without the outline.

No apologies needed at all! They don’t give us much to work with, information-wise, so we have to figure out out on our own, which you did.

what is adaptive transparency?

It’s a feature in the new AirPods Pro. In the last beta, a control appeared in settings that appeared to give this same feature to the original AirPods. It turned out to be a mistake and the old AirPods Pro did not get this feature.

I reported as a data loss risk.

The pills not ugly. If you need to have one then Apple have done an incredible job incorporating it and making a use of it so it blends with the rest of screen and iOS.

I got used to the notch but I’m actually excited for the pill and interacting with it. Think it looks very cool the way it moves like liquid. A real distraction from making something lifeless and ugly.

Agree with you on the lines around it though. Defeats the point of all the other UI making it seamless - stands out like a sore thumb.

It is horrible.

I can see that it happens if you have black wallpaper
Is this really new? I have a Wallpaper that‘d hide the Dynamic Island and it shows a faint white outline when there is content in the Dynamic Island (like the lock symbol on the lock screen). Running 16.0.2 that is. It‘s always been like that:

The alarm widget on Lock Screen shows only the alarm clock symbol/ icon. It does not display the alarm configured time.
Anyone else?

It stays with the outline here.
