Beta testers, please help us regular iPhone users by submitting feedback for the removal of that grey outline around the dynamic island before it actually becomes a thing.

Apple is definitely listening more than they have been recently, a prime example of that is their quick response to fixing the Battery Percentage indicator. If enough people submit feedback against this, there's a decent chance Apple will back track on this brain dead decision.

I wish my experience was the same. I’ve reported Safari animations - scrolling between tabs in tab overview and swiping between tabs - being very stuttery, still nothing. I’ve reported that system performance seems to degrade with uptime, mainly the Home bar lagging more and more often the longer the phone is on, making swiping home and switching between apps very annoying. Same with the Airplay popup, once it’s opened in landscape mode, it will be unresponsive in portrait mode until reboot (this one has been there for over 2 months now). And there are more that have been reported a long time ago.

3rd Party calendar bug appears to be fixed for me on this beta. Previous betas if iCloud calendar was selected , then in Fantastical, 24Me & Calendar 5 all I would get is No Events Today on Lock Screen. Pleased to say now all working as it should.

iPhone 12 Pro Max

Bug that requires an unlock every time before backing up my iPad to a trusted Mac via lightning cable persists. I've seen it mentioned in previous beta threads, yet Apple still thinks my Feedback FB11604777 is unique and nobody has reported similar behavior.
I have that regularly with Feedbacks. It means no-one's bothered to look at it and whatever AI they use to group feedbacks either wasn't run or didn't work out that there are similar ones.

The only consolation I get is when the release goes live and the bug I reported (which affected no-one else at all ever) hits the front pages :)

Thank you! I'd forgotten to check. Happy to be back to Readdle calendars instead of stock.

I did as well. This behaviour is quite annoying.

INDIA carrier versions updates. Please edit main post.
AIRTEL : 52.0
JIO : 52.0
Good to know. If you are in any of the 5g rollout cities, can you confirm if this update makes 5g work?
I am in bangalore and have iphone 12 on 16.0.2 with Jio v51. 5g is not working for me yet as Airtel says, Apple needs to rollout update.

If Virgin Media’s your ISP, they’ve had what appear to be DNS-related issues with a number of services for over a week now. Some people saw improvements over the last 24 hours but not all.

If you’re using VM’s default DNS you could try an alternative like Cloudflare. If you’re already using an alternative you could try another or going back to the VM default.

This is the Apple TV app, and I use ATT Uverse as the sub for it.

Same issues here. Stuttery safari tab switching and stuttery “return to Home Screen” animations. The same thing happened on iOS 14 and it took at least a month or two for them to fix it.

Unfortunately I don’t think that’s accurate. In the photo below, I don’t have any Dynamic Island residents (music, weather etc…) and I am not in Dark Mode (notwithstanding the darkness of the Lock Screen).

There is the lock in the DI though. The outlines seems to show if there is anything in DI, if it’s completely empty then it won’t show an outline.

New in this Beta: Streaming a radio station from iHeartRadio through Apple Music causes the stream to "jump back" about 5 seconds every few minutes and continue the stream like normal. Reported via Feedback App.

Not sure when it would completely empty on the Lock Screen. Its always going to show that lock there. And once 16.1 is out and Live Activities are running, it’ll probably never be empty.

HomeKit automations still aren’t working.
I had that with the last beta and some earlier ones. I went so far as to delete and recreate them 24 hours ago, and then got yesterday's new beta. So far (meaning last night and this morning), they've been firing.

When the lock screens unlocked with faceid it goes away as it’s unlocked :p
