installed last night.

Still seeing one of my three issues:

Using Siri to set Sleep Focus doesn't properly engage the focus. The "sleep icon" appears at the top of the watch/phone screen, and the correct Contol Centre icon displays, but the screens do not go into "dark mode". Enabling Sleep Focus from Control Centre on either the Watch or the iPhone both correctly work. Been like that since the 16.0 betas.

Will have to hold fire on judging battery life on the 14 Pro and the "Home Controls" in Control Centre issues until I've had a couple of days.

when I'm talking to someone, I can't change volume with side volume buttons

I need to move phone off my face, and than I can change volume

what could be the issue? I found this solution but it's not a solution, it's a bad solution :D

Workaround For iOS 16 Volume Buttons Issue

  • While on a call, distance the iPhone from your face and bring it into normal holding position.
  • Click Volume Up or Volume Down. Is the earpiece audio level being altered? It should work!
  • However, as soon as you bring your iPhone back to your ear they will become unresponsive again.

FIX: Just hold your phone out in front of your mouth and put the call on loud speaker 😆🤣

(Do not understand this behaviour in public places. Your call really isn't interesting, at all.)

But mine works fine while on ear! I'm on 16.0.3

So far it’s the best iOS 16 version for iPhone 11Pro IMHO.

Battery discharging is flat when not used, UI is ultra responsible and smooth and most of time phone is cold which is nice as battery wear is 82% of begin of life capacity.

So same bugs like iOS 16.0 and battery still drain
What iOS team working on? We just want a stable iOS like iOS 15, I know we will never see iOS 6 stability again

If 16.1 is much better than 16.0.3, I can finally tell my parents to update from the last iOS 15 update.

They hate when they update and it turns out to be worse. These days I tell them to hold off and I’m sure they would’ve hated the janky glitchy battery chugging iOS 16 introduction 😂
The 16.1 RC last week was buggy for me. The official public release yesterday is a newer build, so maybe it’s better. I’m going to use it for a week to confirm before I start installing it on my family’s devices.

Anything you do in the phone drains the battery. That’s what it’s there for.

And you know something, I’ll take a little instability now and again over this:

Battery does seem better on 14PM, but I confirm the volume control is not working while on a call when having the phone close to the ear (with the screen off)

Battery for sure seems better on the 14PM. I think this is the smoothest iOS 16 has felt, but still getting some jitters here and there. Still a lot of work.

Loving Sports Alerts Live Activities! Best feature on iOS 16 with the 14 pro series. Any other cool new apps with dynamic island live activities support?

I still don’t understand the 50% battery requirement so to install an update. 20% makes sense but 50? 🤡

I think it’s about protection. In case will take longer for the update and not to be left without battery while updating.
