"What Is Clean Energy Charging on iOS 16?​

Clean energy charging on iOS 16 is a feature that Apple implemented in iOS 16.1 that optimizes your charging times so that you draw more power when the energy grid uses renewable sources of energy. Most energy grids run on a majority of either oil or natural gas mixed in with nuclear and a combination of renewables, but a country can change its primary source of energy accordingly. Depending on the time and conditions, a country may use more renewables if it’s cost effective. Unfortunately for now, the clean energy charging feature is only available in the US as it utilizes information from the US Department of Energy and local authorities."

I have it on since it was available and have not noticed any difference with charging. I guess that's the point. Also have optimized charging on as well.

But nope, they are gonna force this hideous crap onto everyone no matter how bad it is. And remember, 99.9% of people with 14 pro’s aren’t big time devs like us who are running the beta. The general public hasn’t seen how bad their phones are about to get until the public release drops next week. This turd on the top of my screen ruins the entire experience and I cannot get past it, it needs to go away or this phone is getting thrown into the ocean.

Same. 14 Pro, volume buttons not working on a call with the proximity sensor active. Have to move it away from your head and adjust when the screen lights up.

Please let us know how battery life is on 16.1 RC and state your device as well

Most curious of 14PM since it’s my only ios16 device
 
Love the outline situation now… it’s there when in use but vanishes like magic no use… would be cool if when not in use it worked at control center with a black background like new pop ups, either access with live activities by swiping it away… makes sense to make more use of the DI? Also would be cool if you could use as a shortcut menu and store shortcuts and they pop out lol

Hoping the swipe up lag issue is resolved. It was really bad for me on beta 6. It will take time to tell.

I spoke too soon - this bug is still there. Oh well, just gotta get used to a messages app that constantly resets to the view showing all the message threads instead of where I last left it.

It works best by turning it off so you can just charge your phone when you want.
