Do you have other devices where the same iMessage account is logged in? Like an iPad, a second iPhone or a Mac? You need to disable that setting there too.

13 ProMax - OTA

Well this bites….
Pushing my way through a bad case of COVID … yeah, it sucks.
Anyway, got back from the UC to get a follow up test (work req - their paperwork), took a photo of the test results on my 13 ProMax to send in.
Noticed the paper color was very off color and the typing was blurring toward orange yellow (see attached - its my quasi redacted COVID form). It is standard white printer paper with black fonts.

Late morning lighting on my coffee table.

I really hope the rest of RC is better.
Will update my IPad Pro later today.
It’s rest time.

Not at all, Apple is doing such insane things that the only way to describe them is with colorful language. At times, it even looks like a dynamic dildo, the ring pulsates and gets longer and shorter as if it’s trying to decide what to do before settling on a long pill shaped thing with ring around the collar.

The fact that Apple came up with this, and hasn’t removed it, proves they are a lost cause. I can only imagine the trash they have in store for us in the pipeline. Maybe colored rings around icons? Colored rings around the dock? Colored rings around people? Who wouldn’t want a blue ring around all the people in their photos added by computational photography and Apples advanced machine learning? Maybe colored rings around every keyboard button as well? What about colored rings around the buttons in the phone dialer? I remember an old jailbreak tweak that did that, always thought it was ugly. Where does it end?

At the very least Apple could have done like they do with so many other things and given us an on/off switch for the dirty dynamic outline in accessibility settings. But nope, they are gonna force this hideous crap onto everyone no matter how bad it is. And remember, 99.9% of people with 14 pro’s aren’t big time devs like us who are running the beta. The general public hasn’t seen how bad their phones are about to get until the public release drops next week. This turd on the top of my screen ruins the entire experience and I cannot get past it, it needs to go away or this phone is getting thrown into the ocean.

I updated to the beta because I wanted to get a look at this notch ring. Wow, you all are REALLY overblowing it… Here’z the difference. 16.0.3 first, 16.1 RC second. It’s barely, just ever so slightly brighter. It doesn’t stay on constantly like people have been acting like. I’m genuinely confused why so many people are acting like its the end of the world… here, look for yourself.

Having an issue where every time I open the App Store on my phone (14 Pro Max), the panel comes up saying Cannot Connect first instead of usually opening up on the Today tab and allowing me to pull up my account and see if any apps have been updated.

Same here using 16.1 Beta 6.

The swiping up lag was horrible on beta 5 for me on my 14 pro max. It does take time before it builds up. So far so good after 6 hours. I think it’s some sort of memory management issue.

Yeah its been awful. I'm going on several hours now without a hiccup so hopefully it's fixed.

Also, hopped on this with my iPad Pro (M1) yesterday and immediately tried out stage manager. Every time I closed an app (via the multitasking menu at the top, to remove it from stage manager), springboard crashed. What a joke this release is on iPad. It‘s like they don‘t even tested most features.

I would hope this is not the case. Would be relatively useless. I would think it’s something in the mlb app.

Patience people: don’t judge what will happen by what has already happened. I’m almost 100% certain that MLB and every other sports related app under the sun will offer Live Activities. There will probably be so many you’ll have to turn some off.

Just give the developers time to submit the updates to their apps now that Xcode is out for 16.1.

Sorry if I missed this, but could someone confirm Live Activities will be available for everyone with iOS 16.1 ?

Asking as statement in first post tells it’s only for 14 pro :d (sorry I work as tester and pointing things out makes me happy 😃)

The Dynamic Island aspect of Live Activities will only be available on the iPhone 14 Pro models this year. But the “regular” Lock Screen version is available to all.

Live activities are already available since b3 i think...scorespot, fotmob,tasks are some apps currently available via testflight.
Hope Glovo and Bolt will implement it asap. Uber does not work yet.

“Being available via TestFlight” is not the same as “available”. Should start to see apps with it today or tomorrow I’d say.

Please report this to Apple through Feedback Assistant. The more reports they get, the higher on their priotity list they (hopefully) climb.

The volume +/- doesn’t work when phone is held close to ear on call(when proximity sensor is active).Volume can be increased or decreased when the phone is taken away from the ear and screen is lit
