Yes this on a call and you can’t change the volume without taking the phone away from your face is quite annoying.

I have a client who likes to shout, I think they think we will hear them better, and for the life of me I was pushing the down button with no change. Had to bring the phone away and keep doing that till it was right. Then spoke to my mum who very softly spoke and I was at it again. You feel like you’ve missed half the conversation.

Just to confirm for everyone:

You went back to 16.1 from 16.2 beta using finder + option + check for update and selected the IPSW successfully?

Was gonna test it today, as 16.1 back to 16.0.3 brought up an error, and I feared this magic trick had been stopped.

I used iTunes on Windows

Oh really.
Not noticing any change with the modem. Just the apps closing faster and the gps does find your location much faster.

Yes, it’s been reported a couple of times in this thread.

Sadly, the option + check for update (tethered way with finder) to manually select an IPSW file to downgrade on, doesn’t seem to work anymore.

It didn’t work, for me, from:
16.1 > 16.0.3
and hasn’t just worked for
16.2 > 16.1.

Anyone else confirm on a Mac this happened to them too for 16.2 > 16.1

I upgraded yesterday around lunch and battery was sub-par for my 14PM. Today seems to be better; will have to see where it’s at when I get home around midnight.
