Modem firmware for me is horrendous. Where I was getting 5G is now LTE. And takes a while to capture a signal.
Maybe try disabling “Networking & Wireless” under System Location Services and see if there’s any difference? 😕 I noticed the other day after (briefly) switching it back on that my cell service slowed to a crawl.

Works perfectly fine with me and I’m a subscriber if that makes a difference. Never had a problem with AdGuard not working with any betas.

I’d had enough of how terrible my 13 pro max was on anything iOS 16 , so took the plunge last night, early days but so far battery seems dramatically improved. 2.5 hours use of Reddit , safari etc and down to 90%.
Definitely feels smoother but I’m still get animation hitches here and there and random slowdowns . I’m really hoping Apple manages to improve things, loved my phone on iOS 15 , lasted for two days, really quick and never slowed down. Fingers crossed this beta gets better and better, so far for me at least feels like a non beta release

AdGuard works perfectly on my iPhone 13 Pro Max under iOS 16.2 beta 1. I am a subscriber
Have you tried reloading the filters inside the AdGuard app? I use Wipr myself but sometimes after an OS update I find the filters need to be reloaded, almost like they get knocked out of Safari and thus won’t block anything.

Been playing around with Safari for a couple of days now.
Private Relay (beta) is off. I do not have an ad blocker active. All settings are default. VPN is off. WiFi only.
It is inconsistent. I can open a few tabs and some tabs just stop working. You need to select an object, fill in a field, make a selection (like 1-5 stars) and it just doesn’t work. Reload the page and all is fine. Want to copy or lookup a word/phrase? Sometimes your selection is off by a couple of lines or selects more/less than you did, or just retracts back to a letter. Inconsistent. Even the “Like” button on posts here will at times select the word and you cannot select a laugh or frown.
For the most part it is decent. I am seeing more “Safari is unable to open…” alerts especially with sites that involve security; ie medical, Benefits, etc…. Even using the pencil in Safari is not a consistent experience, then again, this is a beta.

Interesting musings. Always appreciate your detailed feedback. Have you noticed random “soft-crashes”/reloads using MacRumors on Safari 16? I feel like it happened occasionally on iOS 15 but that’s it’s sadly become more frequent since the early betas of iOS 16. Before it would occur when I was pinching to zoom, but now it seems to happen more randomly and more often and pretty much only with this website.

On my iPad I have not noticed actual crashes, rather freezes that require a reload. Yes, it does happen at times when zooming in or out. This site has some quirks however I am seeing this with a number of sites especially that are forum style, not just MR.
This behavior for me has popped up in betas before but not every one. Never have been able to determine a cause.

Battery life seemed good the one day I used 16.2b1 on 14PM better than 16.1
but to me YouTube being a little weird and that Lock Screen camera bug and just not feeling as responsive after the initial settling I just went back and restored from an ipsw and restored from 16.1 backup
And ... I dunno if as good as 16.2b1 but 16.1 restore definitely gave smoother battery than 16.1 OTA

Battery is insane for me on ip14 pro.
Charged it up, admittedly be chatting whilst out for Sunday lunch but taken lots of photos of the Pearlet having fun in the play area.
100% at 1pm say. 5 hours ago, 20 odd photos taken… I’m at 97%.
Would have expected that to be at least 95 if not 90% the way the camera uses power.

Been trying a few things. Reboot. Forget and Add. Hard Reboot. Rinse, Repeat.
The second time I did a hard reboot the charging started working correctly. 👍
All seems to be working fine with the AP2 now.
