Been using the 14pro for a week now, 🥰😍, and I love the DI. Love the charging and silent mode animations. Just brings my phone alive and I’m bowled over at the ingenuity integrating graphics with it. I feel like I have a pro phone in my hands amongst other things.

Now, I don’t really clock this grey boarder though on the DI, and being a designer, with attention for details, I thought I would and I thought it was going to dampen my experience. I see it so briefly at lockscreen, and if I’m playing say Spotify and minimise it, my phones then back to being lockscreen anyway.

I’m not crazy about the idea of this grey boarder, I wouldn’t have added it, but is it really that offensive from all the comments earlier on?

Am I missing something here?

Do u like the aod ?

This has happened to need 3 times within the last 10 minutes. I’ll pick my phone up and it will look like this. I like the look but it’s obviously a bug because the Lock Screen widgets disappear.
I'd happily trade losing the widgets if it meant getting rid o those childish-looking camera and torch icons otherwise hard-coded onto the lockscreen.

Don’t use it. Yeah there things to fix, but apart from the camera home bar disappearing, which is annoying, all smooth sailing.

Charged my phone at 1pm Sunday. Only just put it on charge when it hit 25%. 2 days with 7hrs ish onscreen usage. Can’t complain. It’s a beast.

Do you have any particular Focus currently enabled? And if you unlock, then lock it back and check is it correct?

Love the wallpaper btw..
Thank you on the wallpaper. I checked and no focus settings are turned on. Sometimes I’d unlock it and then lock it back and it would be normal and other times it would stay in the upper left with no widgets.

Just when you think Apple gets it right ... thud.

iPad 16.2 beta - Weather - Current 68F - 53Low 69Hi
iPhone 16.2 beta - Weather - Current 70F - 52Low 71Hi

Both are set for the same location. Why the difference? At least the widgets match the app on device.

Probably not on the same update time cycle or could be coming from different sources since they’re both betas.

It probably depends what side of the street you’re on.

Noticed this over the weekend and tested again - when on my Anker charging stand the graph does not show charging but the device charges and notes it in "last charged".

Shows last charged to 45% at 21:17 but no charging indicated. Was on the charger approx 15 minutes. YouTube music was playing ...

Testing again today for a longer period ... wonder if my stand is going bad?

Just discovered that if I use Tidal Music to output via airplay then the Tidal app crashes after a few seconds. Also once airplay has been selected the app won’t let me reset it without restarting the iPhone or iPad.
Had the same issue with Pandora and AirPlay2

Well, this beta is either incredibly good or incredibly boring... A week in and this thread is so quiet... Sure.. a couple of complaints of this little inconvenience or that, but nothing like the usual torrent of issues/complaints going on for pages & pages.

OR... perhaps more people than usual are holding out for beta 2 as I am? I am honestly satisfied with the public release of 16.1. Its stable and battery life is incredible, easily going almost 36 hours between charges. (Based upon my usage, of course.)

Of those on 16.2 B1, what would you say are the improvements or advantages over 16.1?

After further testing I found that in addition to Tidal neither Spotify nor Amazon music can cope with switching to my AirPort Express. No such problems with Apple Music of course.

Shopping for a new one today ….

Not sure if this a defect or works as designed. Thoughts?

On my iPad Pro, orientation is portrait with power button at top right. Using the volume toggles, pressing up turns volume up and pressing down turns volume down. ✅

Turn iPad into landscape with power button on top left. Now pressing the volume up buttons turns the volume down, and pressing volume down button turn volume up. Huh?

Portrait with power button bottom left. Volume up turns down volume and volume down, turns volume up. 🤔

And lastly landscape with power button lower left follows the same as the other landscape scenario. Volume up goes down, and volume down goes up.

I don’t know how I just noticed it.

Probably a bug. On my iPad mini on 16.1, the volume button facing up, regardless of which way it's facing in landscape orientation, raises the volume and and bottom facing lowers the volume. So the actual button switches so the button facing up always increases the volume and visa-versa for the bottom button.
