Battery widgets on Lock Screen still can be pressed and shows press layout (grey out)? :)

I normally beta test to give feedback but not this time... the lag introduced in 16.2 beta 2 is so bad when swiping on the home screen, ive gone back to 16.1.1. Cant deal with that for 1 hour let alone 1-2 weeks until apple fixes it.

its fine for me on iPhone 14 Pro Max

PB2 on 14 PM. Bad stutter, completely locked up three times on different apps. That was enough for me. Restored to 16.1.1. Gonna have to see some really good reliable feedback before I try again.

13 ProMax / iPad Pro 11
PIP

Using PIP and have it intermittently freeze when in another app.
Has happened with YouTube, Prime Video, and Paramount +.
The app I am using alongside PIP doesn't seem to matter.

14 Pro. Running very hot and screen dimmed. Not happy. No apps in background. I thought Teams was the culprit but I deleted it.

I’m so excited for Custom Accessibility Mode what the heck 😍

Somehow I totally missed this story but I always love playing with Apple’s suite of Accessibility features! ♿️💙

Hopefully it arrives in some testable form by the next beta 🤞

Now all Apple needs to do is add Headphone Accommodations to macOS 😼🎧

Does anyone know if this has been fixed?

The orange privacy dot is out of place when you are on a phone call. I’m wondering if this has been fixed on IOS 16.2 Beta 2. It’s been driving my OCD crazy!

Device: iPhone 14 Pro Max 1TB.

At this point I don't think this is a bug and a design choice

I swear people sometimes complain about the most trivial things. I recently read a few threads where someone complained a notification window was more square-ish and not round-ish.

Or the iphone stutters for 0.0000001 second more than before.

I just don't understand these things. If it works, isn't these type of things just nitpicking? To each their own I guess.

Would you drive a car with loose wheel bolts 🛞 ? I know I wouldn't.

We pay premium prices for our devices and it's only right to make sure everything works right and properly. Threads like this one are very helpful because they tend to improve the whole iOS/OS system along with coming up with new features for the next year as well. For example, many people wanted the battery percentage back, and guess what! This year we got it back. People also wanted the Haptic Keyboard, we also got that. I'm loving it!

Apple does listen to the user's feedback. It only provides better functionality, user experience, and overall refinement.

Lock Screen camera bug is fixed.

Edit: But the flashlight button is greyed out… also in control center. Weird.

Edit 2: Hard reboot fixed it.

Any chance you have the source for wallpaper or could upload it here? 🙏🏻

Have you tried this beta on your own device? If you haven’t, I encourage you to and report back how you feel about it and whether it’s as trivial as you think it is.

Kindly remember this is a beta that we are testing and submitting - hopefully - feedback back to Apple.
Small things add up and correcting even little things helps refine the OS.

Anybody upgraded their Home to the new "rewritten" and "more stable" HomeKit? What's better and what's worse?

I've had so many problems with this ecosystem in the last 3 years, my expectations are at their peak.

So far my morning automation playing music on 4 of my HomePod minis hasn’t failed like it used to sometimes. Also my HomePod stereo pair connected to my tv hasn’t dropped one speaker like it used to sometimes do. That’s about all I’ve noticed though, and there’s still plenty of time for it to stop working again. So, maybe some increased stability? I’ve noticed no downsides so far. I have 9 HomePods, hue lights, some Meross plugs, an ecobee and an 2 eero pro routers.
