i have the new setting for Siri to shut tf up, which it ignored last beta, but this one ... it's silent! Too silent. Refuses to say anything aloud now even if I beg.

Oh well. I'll try "automatic" for a while and see how that pans out, otherwise I do prefer "prefer silent responses" to how it was before.

Does anyone know if the bug where the messages app reloads (after exiting the app while in a conversation) to your main list of conversations has been fixed?

Just installed it on my 13 Pro Max, every animation has stutter. Whether it’s swiping between pages, scrolling safari or messages. Very jarring stutter all throughout the OS. Will give it time and see if it improves

Same here on my 13 pro. Very annoying.

Hard reset made no difference.

I see stuttering in animations system wide on my 13 Pro. And if I limit the frames to 60fps, it's horrible as it looks. Hopefully with time this will improve.

Anyone seeing stuttering in Safari while scrolling? Especially scrolling up and down in the iOS 16 forum?

Scratch that. I’m seeing stuttering overall.
This is a dealbreaker for me. 16.1 isn’t perfect by a long shot but at least it’s not a jerky mess.

I guess it’s a very early beta of this release so shouldn’t be surprised it’s rough in some key areas. Roll on beta 3…

Seeing the stutter in Safari and Weather as well, also feels like it's rendering the webpages in 60 Hz.

Also, the Airplay pop-up getting unresponsive in Portrain after it having been opened Landscape is still there... C'mon, Apple, it was reported 3 months ago.

Seems like all the stutter complaints are a bit early. Most times just after an update there is a bit of time to go by before things get smooth due to processing and cleanup. For some reason folks are immediately wanting to go back to b1 moments after updating before even giving it a fair chance. Just seems odd to me. Oh well. Perhaps tomorrow those who stayed with it will have better results to report.

No way. Not see any stuttering previously. Somethings up with promotion. It’s effecting my phone globally and on all apps. Really don’t think this is settling in behaviour.

Hard restarted x 3

Woooow, that stutter is irritating as hell for me! 😵‍💫
Downgraded to 16.1 throu iTunes for now, as with 16.2b1, the lockscreen-camera-bug drove me crazy, so that is not an option for now. I guess I'll leave the beta train for 2022 awaiting 16.2 final and start again in 2023!
