Seems like all the stutter complaints are a bit early. Most times just after an update there is a bit of time to go by before things get smooth due to processing and cleanup. For some reason folks are immediately wanting to go back to b1 moments after updating before even giving it a fair chance. Just seems odd to me. Oh well. Perhaps tomorrow those who stayed with it will have better results to report.
I understand this common refrain but we’re not talking about an iPhone gen 1 processor, GPU and memory/storage subsystem. We’re talking about a world class CPU/GPU, Memory and Storage subsystem that rivals all other phones and some laptops in terms of performance. Strongly believe what we’re seeing is one or more bugs and not a constraint due to limited resources.

Seems like everyone w Pro Motion (so far) has the studder. You just wouldn't think Apple would release, even a beta, with that occurring. Disappointing. Was really looking forward to jumping on.

In the beta changelog I see this:
"Updates in iOS & iPadOS 16.2 beta
SwiftUI
Resolved in iOS & iPadOS 16.2 beta
Fixed: Animated layout changes now support up to a 120hz refresh rate on ProMotion displays. (83563866)"
This may be the reason for these stutters on ProMotion devices.

weird how its not on every promotion device though.

Big Zol and Brandon Bunch haven't mentioned it for any of their devices. weird!

Did u do reinstall?

Have gone back to beta 1.

For shitz and giggles want to see if OTA makes a difference coming back up to beta 2.

If that doesn't change anything, then will reinstall using the IPSW file. just to see.

EDIT: OTA and then a IPSW reinstall of the iOS made F all difference. S S Stutters here to S S Stay. 👎🏼

Mac users:

Downgrading the iOS

Holding down option + check for update button to manually select the IPSW file of 16.2 beta 1 downgrade works in finder. All data is fine and untouched.

Always do encrypted back ups to Mac before hand. Always restart Mac and iPhone before hand.
I did the restore and not the update button SMFH. Wiped everything and restoring from iCloud now lol

Went back to 16.2 B1

This update has solved my iOS and iPadOS discovery problems. The Panasonic app can once again control both my TVs and the Home Control app can now control my Bosch coffee machine.

Edit: SonoPad can see my sound bars too!
