Email Craig see if he gets back to you?

just make the subject of the email politely stand out is all the advice I can give to get a reply.
Yeah something like:
"SUBJECT: Hi -craig, love the hair. What conditioner you use? BTW iOS seems broken....."

My battery life has actually got worse the past few days on my 13 Pro Max. I really hope this isn’t the final release. Probably have 20-30% less on a charge than I did on 16.1.2.

Also having lots of heat issues. I had to turn my phone off yesterday for about 20 min to get it to cool down.
Seems you need to see what's using your battery and then you have found the source of the heat. Solving both issues as once.

There isn’t any individual app using more battery than normal. It’s just draining at a general higher rate no matter what app I’m using.

Something is running in background making it heat up. Maybe iCloud sync, or an email account hung up, etc. Maybe try signing out of iCloud reboot and back in or disable email accts and reboot and make active one at a time. Or even just force close all apps and reboot. Good luck! can be a challenge for sure.

Thank you. I’ll give it a shot.

Anyone using Healthmate (Withings)? Does the syncing with Health work for you?
The syncing process has always been a bit too slow, sometimes it takes several days for weight data from Healthmate to show up in Health, but now it seems like it’s completely broken. Last successfully synced data was from Dec 6, nothing since RC 🤔
(The access is set up correctly, I even tried toggling off & on to give it a nudge, but nothing.)
Is it me or is it really broken? Can anyone try and respond? Thanks! 🙂

I just checked and my Healthmate app hasn't been syncing with Health for months now. Last sync was on August 1st. So this definitely has nothing to do with the beta/RC, it's been like that since pre-iOS 16 for me. No idea how to even configure it, I guess it's just an app bug.

I experienced the weirdest bug yesterday: I started a regular outbound phone call with no bluetooth device connected, and as soon as it started ringing, my iPhone 14 Pro Max enabled speakerphone (no, I didn't tap the speakerphone button by mistake).

Now the even funnier part: I was not able to disable speakerphone in any way. Tapping on the icon didn't do anything at all. I had to hang up. Then I did some more tests, and all subsequent calls behaved like that. I had to reboot the iPhone to make it work normally again.

Anyone have stutter when watching Youtube videos, Instagram Videos or Reels? I'm not usually one to complain but Jesus it's bad, it's like 5 FPS.

I will wait for the final release to install the new version, today or tomorrow, because I wasn’t able to find the RC IPSW. But don’t worry sending me a source, I don’t mind waiting one more day.

I’ve read about WiFi disconnections and other bugs on iOS 16. Are those bugs still present on the 16.2 RC? Do you think they will fix them in the final release, or it will be the exact same build?

The Wi-Fi bug I believe was fixed in iOS 16.1 update.

Not really a surpise.
You’ll see odd behavior every now and then from iOS.
Thankfully a reboot or hard reboot (sometimes 3 of them) will correct the issue.

Sometimes it feels like I am back in my Windows blue screen days … but on a phone. ;)

Here’s a bug I’d never run into before: I had an alarm that was set for this morning. When it didn’t go off I looked at the screen and it was totally off. It wouldn’t power on until I performed a hard reboot (volume up, down, hold power). It’s been running fine since but seems like a bad bug if it’s software-based. Filed a feedback.
iPhone 14 series? Has been happening since they launched with 16.0. Had 3 occurances.

Prob a complete fluke, my battery health has dropped 2% on this beta on my 13pro max. At 98% now , coconut seems to confirm it so maybe iOS just better recognising it now. Battery is rubbish though , hoping another build for the proper 16.2 is released

Has anyone noticed this bug that hasn't been fixed yet on the iPad? If you get a notification and press and hold, it doesn't expand for quick actions. If you pull it down it works, but you can't press and hold on the notification like you can on the iPhone. Maybe it's always been like that and I haven't noticed? Idk.
