Is there a timeframe for the official release? I've heard Monday the 12th?

Can I assume their attempts to fix "stuttering animations" in absolutely no way applies to the hideous variable refresh rate scrolling?

This has bugged the crap out of me since getting the 13 Pro at launch. The phone throttles down the refresh rate WAY TOO often.

I paid for 120hz. I want 120 frames.

Also praying that the stuttering is fixed because 16 has been a stuttery mess just like 15 was for several months.

Every since the last beta and this RC, I'm still having weird network issues. Sometimes, CarPlay freaks out and I have to reload phone. Swarm couldn't connect to check me into a location and the misses was trying to watch a TikTok, but it kept saying no internet connection. Very odd and extremely annoying. Just reset network settings. Hope that does the trick. Seems like the iOS is working for the most part, but it's still buggier than it should be.

Im still on 16.1.2

Will this RC be the final 16.2 version or will there be a revised version for public release?

Reading 8 pages of posts it looks like there are still unresolved bugs users are experiencing.

Still haven't fixed the alarm not showing up on the lock screen widget for me on my 14 pro max. Laughable that this bug still isn't fixed for so many people.
what is the error exactly? I have an alarm in the morning and another in the afternoon, and I put the widget and the following alarm always appears, changing after the one that touches sounds. that is to say, if the alarm has not sounded in the morning, this one appears. once it rings, I get the one in the afternoon, and so

Sorry, I should've been more clear. It is the morning wake up alarm.

@StumpyBloke. I´m afraid to ask, but... how are the homepods on 16.2?. Any better?. The final version will be out tomorrow, I guess. I personally dont use any betas.

For me personally absolutely zero improvement whether it be Siri, HomeKit or Apple Music.

Still the usual delays. Still the usual music pausing and then restarting, still the usual some music plays for 15 seconds and then moves onto another track. Still the usual on it, working on that. Still the usual crock of **** that Apple should be thoroughly ashamed of.

I´m sorry to hear that. This is even with IOS 16.2 RC and the new home app architecture enabled, right?

Well, I dont use any betas, so will see how it goes when 16.2 final gets released (I presume it will be tomorrow).

Is interesting that you also are having issues with Apple Music playback, not just with Homekit and Siri. That has also been my experience as well.

Yes, Siri has been a pain in the as*.
Using “Hey Siri” activates Siri for an instant and after some moments, it goes away. When it stays listening, I ask something but doesn’t respond. Try to change to English (I’m in Portugal), tried Portuguese Brazilian, because I don’t know why but Apple remains not to avail Portuguese Portugal with Siri after all this years, but no go.
Already tried to disable Siri and set it again, but it works inconstantly.
With Apple Watch, is even worst.

And there still will be even after public release.

Sometimes we see an RC2.
Will Apple release an RC2 before releasing to the public? Only Apple knows at this point. For some of these bugs it looks like we could use one.

I heard an rumor that these bugs won’t get fixed til 16.4.

Apps suddenly won’t stay in memory.

Random stuttering with swipe up and in games

Random miss touches

Battery life

iPhone 14 focus issue

Random Bluetooth issues

I’m guessing all these are still happening for everyone? Anyone else reporting it to Apple? I heard Mondays are best.

IPad Pro 11 (2020)

Broke out my last years YouTube Christmas playlist.
Frequently but intermittently I am getting stutters in the videos during play.
This happens with both downloaded and streamed.

Yup 16.2. All updated to the new HomeKit foundation.

I personally have not had any issues with the issues listed on either my 14 Pro Max or 13 Pro Max. Coud be random issue for different owners.

if iOS 16.2 is launching tomorrow, then the RC launched on Wednesday is the final build.
Not necessarily. There’d been more than a handful instances where the public release is different from RC although there hasn’t been an RC2 in awhile. This happens due to a security exploit being discovered.
