Prob a complete fluke, my battery health has dropped 2% on this beta on my 13pro max. At 98% now , coconut seems to confirm it so maybe iOS just better recognising it now. Battery is rubbish though , hoping another build for the proper 16.2 is released
mine did the same as soon as I updated 16.1.2. Coconut Battery says Im at 98.9%. IOS says 98% so it seems to be accurate for me.

Here’s a bug I’d never run into before: I had an alarm that was set for this morning. When it didn’t go off I looked at the screen and it was totally off. It wouldn’t power on until I performed a hard reboot (volume up, down, hold power). It’s been running fine since but seems like a bad bug if it’s software-based. Filed a feedback.

Omg happened to me the other day. Almost ruined my morning because the alarms didn’t go off.

Anyone having issues with wifi disconnecting on the 16.2 RC?

The wifi symbol would still be visible but nothing would load eg. App Store and YouTube. Once I turn off wifi and connect to mobile data everything would load again.

This kept happening today multiple times. Never happened til I installed the RC.
Yep, same issue since first upgrading to 16.0 months ago now. Wifi drops out constantly. Welcome to the club. No fix exists. There is nothing you can do to fix it once it starts happening, just have to hope it solves itself or apple finally realizes its an issue. (It is, for many many people.)

Wait for 16.3 beta

Hey, I'm still on iOS 15 on my iPhone X. Is it time for iOS 16.2? worth it? I will honestly say that after so many years, the iPhone X on iOS 15 works great and I'm afraid that it will be bad on iOS 16. Who installed and objectively say?

I think you would need this to be answered by someone using an X on 16.2… because my experience is amazing on my iPhone 14 Pro, but this is very different, more advance hardware than yours.

I honestly couldn’t comment for you unless I knew how it would effect an X.

I’m running it on both a 14 Pro Max and a X and to be honest I don’t see any difference in performance. iOS 16 runs great on the X.

I use Autowall via Shortcuts to change the picture on my wallpaper and lock screen every day
it’s been working fine for at least two years
after installing the 16.2 upgrade the wallpaper is blurry but the lock screen image is ok
reinstalled Autowall, no change
rebooting doesn’t fix it
ideas?

Honestly, Really?

5 Apple silicon chip sets later and the performance is still the same.

😆😂 no way! Not buying that. It’s 2x fast than A11 chip on the X. And has 16 neural engine compared to 3 in the X.

The phone will boot up faster, apps load quicker, apps download faster and install faster, Face ID unlock quicker… I mean the list is very long and I could go on and on.

I’ve seen a massive leap from my 12 to my 14 Pro.

But if it runs great on your X, that’s all that matters here.

I've had this issue since migrating to my 14Pro (iOS 16.1) that iMessages/SMS older than a few years were not showing up under my Messages unless I searched for the name of the contact who sent them.
16.2 seems to have finally fixed this, and I didn't see a lot of noise on the issue, so I'm glad it got addressed.

It’s a feature, not a bug. When setting up your wallpaper, you can choose to have the same non blurred image on both lock and home screens or blurred only on the Home Screen.

Probably, has something to do with the new customized lockscreen complication. (iOS16) Lockscreen, blur and that app not supporting it or a bug on their end.

Has anyone noticed this bug that hasn't been fixed yet on the iPad? If you get a notification and press and hold, it doesn't expand for quick actions. If you pull it down it works, but you can't press and hold on the notification like you can on the iPhone. Maybe it's always been like that and I haven't noticed? Idk.
That hasn't worked for me reliably since 16.1 on my iPhone

I found that ‘blur’ and turned it off, but it made no difference
note that my lock screen wasn’t blurred, just the wallpaper

it’s a bug when my settings stop working after two years!

It seems to work just fine on the XR (close) however there is still the issue with being unable to change the volume using the side buttons while on a call (held up to your ear). Works fine with BT ear buds or taking phone away from ear. 15.7.1 seems to work about the same to me but minus the new features. Guess if you really want /need the new features then upgrade. You should be fine. If you are happy with features in 15.7.1 then stick with that.

Well except for the stutter that 99% of iP14 users are complaining about that doesn't exist on the X series. 😂

I request a courtesy to you installing this 16.2. 😁 If you go on YouTube using Safari, and putting the video full screen, when you pull down the Lock Screen, does the volume slider exist? I mean like that on iOS 15.7.1. Thx (btw I am glad they updated the notification, so much wasted space honestly)

i made some changes to Notes prior to upgrading from iOS 16.1.1/2 and they synced fine between my iPad and iPhone. Since upgrading to iOS 16.2 Notes won’t sync which makes no sense as that was a listed fix.

Anyone else having this problem?
