Still having the lens flare issue.
Tooka a couple fo shots of my pup sitting in front of the fireplace and the flames are creating flares in the photo.
Had this for the last couple of betas also.
Lens flare is very common even in high end cameras and lenses particularly in situations with a bright light source in an otherwise dark setting. In Night shooting it can be hard to eliminate it if the moon or other bright light is in the frame. Even a slight adjustment in shooting angle will make it better, worse or eliminate it.

Lens flare can be eliminated by using special anti-flare coating like what the Karl-Zeiss already offers in other high end camera phones. But Apple is too cheap to pay for such specialised coating.

No coating can completely eliminate lens flare.

Even Karl-Zeiss states that their coating "almost completely eliminate the undesirable effects of stray light". It and no other coating will eliminate it. In fact professional photographers and filmmakers use the effect deliberately in many cases.

I don’t see why you still argue. Apple could still try to eliminate or alleviate this well known issue. Period. Plus I don’t think that iPhone is loved by professional photographers without a Pro camera mode

I get the same thing - I've read online that it may be the coating they used on the camera lenses but not sure if that's really it. I get awful/gray pictures when a bright light/window is in the background. Not exclusive to 16.2; I've experienced this since getting 14P

I didn't have this show up till mid 16.2 betas :(
Hoping it is just a software issue.

Great point however this started mid 16.2 betas on my 13PM. Think it was beta 2 where it first showed up.
Photos taken pre-16.2 and shots taken with my OnePlus 10 Pro do not exhibit this flaring.

Not a new issue at all. This is one of many articles on the subject of iPhone and lens flare. A search here will also give many results.

Annoying bug that shows 0% battery for my AirPods case when it has 100%

Anyone having issues with wifi disconnecting on the 16.2 RC?

The wifi symbol would still be visible but nothing would load eg. App Store and YouTube. Once I turn off wifi and connect to mobile data everything would load again.

This kept happening today multiple times. Never happened til I installed the RC.
I’m having exactly this issue despite resetting network settings. Noticeable lag in safari and other apps despite Wi-Fi connection.

I had this issue some days ago, with my 13 mini. Internet was lagging to the point that websites didn’t load, and as soon as I turned WiFi off and on again, everything worked fine again.

On iOS 16.0.3

Volume change while on a call not working here either. Seems to be an issue only with the proximity sensor. Take the phone away from ear so display comes on and buttons work as expected. (or use BT headset)

I thought the volume change during a call was fixed in an earlier beta unless I’m remembering incorrectly? Or maybe I’m remembering the forum posters who blatantly said it was fixed when it wasn’t

The volume buttons work on my 14 Pro while on a call using the ear speaker and proximity sensor active but seems not fixed on older devices.
Sorta good to know, however that doesn't sound promising. Wonder how much attention they will provide to resolving an issue like this for older devices? The fix could be to buy a new device. "Sorry the hardware volume control buttons require devices with A15 Bionic or better". :)
