So even on this beta, they still haven't fixed it? I just can't get my head round how crap their coding is these days that this issue has existed for release after release and still not fixed… Along with myriad others of course.
Yeah It was working fine for me on 16.2 and possibly 16.3 beta initially (been off several days for holidays and turned off alarms and such) So cant remember if it was working on 16.3 b1 or not LOL. But certainly its not now.

can anyone confirm if the squared notifications bug (when swiping to go to notification center) is finally fixed in this beta? very annoying to see this visual glitch even in 16.2
Nope, still persists, along with a few other bugs like the strange outline around the dynamic island.

I get this with WhatsApp occasionally
Isn’t it inner-message in-app to synchronize something?
I remember few apps on android used to send sms messages instantly deleted like Google Assistant, AliExpress, Hangouts.
If such message was deleted before notification is sent it might cause null-data notification.

That’s my guess for this riddle.

What would be interesting to see is if it actually worked inside a building. Don’t try it though!

Soooo… I tried it! Had to. I wanted to be on tele (jokes)

Annnnnnnd, nothing happened.
I think I need the SOS icon to be lit up white to say there is a connection. So if you’re stuck in a cave, you’re screwed. But adrift, you can give Jaws a run for his money.

The backup bug is still here, since 16.0 betas. if you backup locally to Mac or Windows, it will prompt you for a passcode about 60s after you plug it in or place it on a charging pad. This may be what you’re seeing, as I get it every day since 16.0 betas.

I call it a bug, because in 15.x and before, it would ask you once, the first time you plugged in to Trust This Computer. Now, it’s on a 50 first dates mode, where it can’t remember that you said ok and entered your passcode, it just asks over and over, every time.

The fact that it waits for sync to start and then backup to go before it asks for the passcode, means people are likely missing this, which will lead to backups being missed and eventually data loss.
Not a bug. Apparently it's a "fix" since 15.7.1 and 16.1. Have a read here:
See the "Backup" section:

ios 16.3 beta seems to give better performance of the proximity and True Tone sensors.
I use AOD without raise to wake, always when I take the phone out of my pocket the screen is black and lags to adjust to the lighting in iOS 16.2

in this beta it’s faster

For sure—this beta is quick in general. Even if we’re waiting a while till the next, I’m good here on 13 mini, though battery life could improve  More of the eternal back-and-forth Sophie’s Choice of performance vs. battery life, I guess

Which device are you running?

:)

On a random note, y’all know what would be a nice feature, potentially in the realm of personal security/privacy? Being able to hide conversations in the Messages app in addition to the current pin/delete options. Make it happen, Mr. Apple :)

iPad Pro 11
AirPlay

Totally stopped working on my iPad to TV.
Check the setting - set to Auto or Manual has no effect.
Hard Reboot was no help.

Anyone have suggestions?
AirPlay to Apple tv works fine for me

Add me to the list. Fellow Atlantian who don’t know the answer but still want to say hi!!

Notify when left behind suggestions are odd (a prior hotel I’ll never return to) and can be removed (disabled) but not deleted.

I need help with Mail. I go into my iCloud junk email and it’s all stuff I’d like to be receiving. I’ve moved them to the inbox multiple times and they continue to go to junk.

Am I resigned to just checking it like a second inbox?

Unfortunately that’s what I have to do. Even some of those that I have added as contacts will occasionally wind up there. But those that have been added to the Inbox, or on my Mac marked as not junk, still wind up there. Been this way for several years.
