How’s she sailing?

Better but not significantly like I hoped.
Still feels slow for a number of apps.

An interesting item; when I open Calendars, it opens fine but Calendars at the bottom has an exclamation along side it. When I click it, every calendar has an exclamation except Siri Suggestions, Birthdays, and Show Declined Events. Odd.

Still digging.

I’ve PR off on my MBP, so far so good

Had to downgrade. Service thing on tuesday. Screen scratches. Ore can it be on beta software?
I dont see why you would have to. They have a public beta so should be fine. Plus if just replacing screen that sholdn't have anything to do with what version of iOS you have. Just my 2 cents.

Not had any WiFi issues - iphone 14 pro.
Or on 16.2

@ibookemo @S8ER01Z @Knowlege Bomb

But the issue your talking about is happening on my MBP M1 13.1
Having random Wi-Fi issues. IP14PM. Randomly no data connection even though phone is showing full Wi-Fi signal. Reset network settings and had updated via IPSW but no difference. Turn off Wi-Fi and then back on via Control Center fixes it for a time. Then later in the day rinse and repeat.

That has been an on/off issue with iOS for years. Not just this beta. The control center trick has been the "quick fix" when it rears its head. Not sure anyone has ever pinpointed why it occurs tho.

Thats a tricky one. Tried to change my battery in an Apple Store in Germany when there was a special offer with a beta version and they rejected it, claiming that their test software won't run on beta software. Had a similar experience in Peru - changed it without problems

Is Siri and speech-to-text way slower to activate and start listening for anyone? It’s happened to me since 16.2 beta started

So far only bug I've encountered is when I try to facetime someone after I hung up. It will not show "call" option for a good 10 seconds.

Charged to 100% yesterday,currently on 87%,SOT is around 2 hours,pretty good.
Battery was amazing on 16.1.2 and terrible on 16.2.
Now its great again. Like it so far.

A press adjusts it up or down a bit with each press. Watch the volume bar and you’ll see it higher or lower with each press.
Yeah, but when on a phone call, since the beginning of iOS 16, I've always had to hold to adjust the volume but its always worked.

Just assumed they changed it

Turn off Private Relay, and restest
Thanks, good idea. Have left that on just “because”….. will test again tonight with it off.

Edit. Never mind, just looked and it is already OFF. I think I am going to try turning off the HomeKit setting in my router at home. I remember from some time ago that was giving me problems.
It's sad to see most of us having to turn these features OFF, surely the great Apple ought to be able to get them working correctly...... or maybe not.....:(

It's hit or miss. During a proper screen replacement, the device is booted to an internal diagnostics firmware/bootloader in order to pair the display and logic board together to provide genuine part validation (Apple calls this "display calibration"). Sometimes this process will fail if the main firmware is a beta version - the device will either refuse to calibrate or will get stuck in recovery, requiring a restore. Staying on beta will not prevent service, but have a backup in case a restore is required for service.

13ProMax

Went ahead and bit the bullet and did a full reset and restore.
So far it appears to be working well.

Better than the original OTA update but still not what I expected. Seriously slower for the same aps compared to my 1+.
At this point I’ll just wait for the next beta (in a couple of weeks?). It is working decently for the most part.

Limit IP Address Tracking and Private Relay are both off.
Left all widgets off except for lockscreen.
