I don't think so. This was a well known issue that started with 16.2. The only thing that seemed to work is to disable the Find My service.
Then there’s no need for me to restore and trying to go through the hassle 😮‍💨 thank you

If you are referring to the constant system service location bug, I had it personally on my 14 Pro running iOS 16.2. I ended up rolling back to 16.1.2 to correct that bug, have not gone to 16.3, I am still hesitant, lol. Many have said the bug still exists in 16.3
Lucky you are still on 16.1.2! I always forget to check here before I make the move

I ironically have the same issue on iPad and Find My as well as ALL location settings are completely turned off (it does not leave the house) yet I still have Find My running
I also have 2 iPad that always stay at home and Find my still runs all the time. I don’t have air tags either.

Apple actually acknowledged it with a potential fix when iOS 16.3 was in beta, guess they missed the mark. That would lead me to believe that there is a bug though.

In my case, it was always using Find my, almost constantly. I would be in an app, as soon as I go to the home screen, boom, checking location. Once Find My was disabled, this went away.
Glad to hear they are aware. I’m sure my battery will last a lot longer once they fix this. 16.1.2 gave me amazing battery life, with the find my on.

Honestly, I jumped to 16.2 for the security patches right away but after several days of battery drains and the persistent location issue was enough to roll back. Of course, it is a pain but doable.

DFU is ONLY needed if your Mac/PC doesn't recognise the device through iTunes.

It's just a force process for identifying it. Nothing else.
As @jav6454 once said:

“DFU mode is like sandpaper to wood when it comes to eliminating software issues.

Got issues? This is the one I always recommend.”

My device is running smooth like butter after the process and i have no problem carry on doing dfu restore in future but ONLY one ☝️. 🫣🤭🫢

Actually that sounds like they fixed it. No way your batteries are at 100% after a year of use. So the numbers you are reporting sounds more likely. My release day XR (yeah getting some age now) is reporting 85% and has been that way for a while now through all the 16.x versions including betas.
My 14-15 mo old 13 Pro is at 100% before and after installing 16.2 about 3 weeks ago. Many of my other iPhones have been at 100% even after a year but I'm not a heavy user.

I don’t own an original HomePod, just a HomePod mini…but this glyph shows an OG HomePod half the time.

Big deal? Nah.

Sloppy and buggy, like so much of iOS 16? Oh yeah.

Is this really something you want Apple to waste time fixing? It identifies the playing device as a HomePod-class device. Who cares if it’s graphically your exact device? Resources are scarce - time and people. You fix what matters. This does not matter.

They'll fix it, someone will post screenshots in a thread like this along with "It's nice when Apple still cares about the little things" and they'll get loads of likes.

While the major stuff doesn't get fixed.

I have this animation glitch as well, and it’s ridiculous how cheap it looks, lol.

Aside from that, restarting the phone switched off the setting for fitness focus to turn on when starting a workout.

Another issue I have is that screen time won’t load on my phone after a certain period of time, until I restart my phone. This is somewhat fixable if I turn off ‘share across devices’ under screen time on my 7+, which is running iOS 15.7.3.

The battery is solid, but the quality of iOS has dropped so significantly in the last 2 years, that it’s disappointing.

My secondary android phone (Samsung Z Flip 4) is way more stable on android 13. It’s just sad to see.

Well enjoy your concern about trifles. Surely there are better ways to spend your time. But that's up to you, I guess
I said it wasn’t a big deal in my original post. And this is a MacRumors internet message board…trifles are our starting point.
