You'll get varied answers here. My suggestion is that you spend 10-15 minutes and skim this thread to see if any of the issues raised here are of concern to you.Guys i'm on 16.1.2 on my 14PM, should i upgrade to 16.3 ? Thank you.
I've already read whole thread, but my concern is daily battery life on 16.3. I will keep observing. Thank you.You'll get varied answers here. My suggestion is that you spend 10-15 minutes and skim this thread to see if any of the issues raised here are of concern to you.
I am in the same boat as you but here are some non-biased viewpoints;Guys i'm on 16.1.2 on my 14PM, should i upgrade to 16.3 ? Thank you.
Well, battery life seems more or less unchanged from earlier versions of iOS 16. But again, what other people, with different usage patterns, experience in battery life is not necessarily what you will experience.I've already read whole thread, but my concern is daily battery life on 16.3. I will keep observing. Thank you.
Thanks for informing. 16.1.2 also has still lots of bugs. Actually i don't care about security issues, i'm just on battery life. I think i will wait for next updateI am in the same boat as you but here are some non-biased viewpoints;
1. If you care about the security issues that were corrected in 16.3, update, no questions.
2. If you are concerned about bugs, look around to see what others have said. iOS 16.3 is not without bugs unfortunately.
I have heard that overall battery life is better than 16.2 if that helps.I've already read whole thread, but my concern is daily battery life on 16.3. I will keep observing. Thank you.
Other than when the device is completely hosed and will not boot enough to allow you to load iOS (restore) or to downgrade say from a beta to an older signed version of iOS there is no advantage. It basically allows you to load the OS before its actually booted. Other than that no advantage. If you can load the OS via recovery then iBoot is fine and there is no reason to bypass it.Hi, what is the advantage of getting new iboot in?
ALL the fixed underlying issues are never mentioned in release notes. Just the highlights typically. Also a new iOS version as I recall calibrates the battery meter and updates it accordingly.If they actually fixed it they should have said something. I get tired of having to work off of guesses.
Hadn't looked in 16.3 betas for this but when I just looked my 13PM dropped 3% with 16.3 run.

My battery life has been outstanding on my 14PM as it has been for all of ios 16. Those who may be having a battery issue have, specific to them, reasons to have an issue. You will never know what battery life will be for you unless you can find someone who has the exact same settings you do and uses the device in exactly the same way with all the same apps. If you’re going to wait because of some fear you’ll still be asking about this when ios 18 comes out.Thanks for informing. 16.1.2 also has still lots of bugs. Actually i don't care about security issues, i'm just on battery life. I think i will wait for next update![]()
And what makes you think you won’t face EXACTLY the same ‘dilemma’ when/if there is a 16.4 update !!Thanks for informing. 16.1.2 also has still lots of bugs. Actually i don't care about security issues, i'm just on battery life. I think i will wait for next update![]()
I would first reboot your router, you may find that helps significantly. I cannot say I’ve ever had that issue with my 14PM or any other phone, but I have seen a few posts here and there about such issues during some of the betas. My 14, my wife’s 12, and our iPads and laptops have never dropped their connections. But I do occasionally restart our router, just because.Not sure if it’s just me . I got a 14 pm and my wifi does not auto connect when I get home like it’s set to do. I scroll down the control center , then have to toggle wifi off and on again to get it to connect . Same issue on 16.2 and I remember this issue my friend has on his 13 pm with 15.7 on it. What’s the deal here?
Other than making the device forget that network and then logging into it again I wouldn’t know what else to try not ever having had that issue.Rebooting the router has done nothing . I remember when I had my 13 pm before this 14 pm I had same issues .. no idea why
it doesn't let you swipe it away?I don’t recall seeing this in previous iOS versions. How do you get rid of it?
nope ... in fact I did not have the hard crashes on my iPhone 13 and since the upgrade 2 times :-(Let’s hope it fixes my random hard crashes…
