One annoying issue that’s been bugging me recently is the stupid blank icons on control centre

Prior to updating to the RC version I noticed that my keyboard haptic feedback has been extremely weak. I was hoping RC would fix this but that hasn't been the case. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Again I'm referring to the keyboard haptic feedback.
Same thing for me. iPhone 14 pro. Haptic feedback is almost non existent on stock keyboard. Switching to Gboard the haptic feedback returns to normal. Was also hoping this would be fixed in the RC but sadly it wasn't.

@JBryan84

On my 13 ProMax it is pretty much useless.
Been that way for a while now.

At this point I test it then turn it off.

I restarted both a bit after updating; also toggled full (i.e. including disabling Bluetooth) airplane mode on the watch. 30-45 minutes after that it righted itself and is now back to normal—nothing crazy required.
I restarted both iPhone and Apple watch as you suggested. Waited about an hour and it was returned back to normal. Not sure what did the trick, the restarts or the waiting. Ha! Thanks for the suggestions.

Whats up with the problem of Siri saying "you'll need to unlock your iPhone first" when asking for her to do something like play music and a whole slew of other things? Been this way ever since I got my 13. A web search calls it a bug that goes back a ways. Some have it, some don't, but it is well known and it is the main reason I don't stick with the iPhone and revert always back to pixel. Was hoping with each update it'd be fixed but might as well hope for a jump over the moon. All settings for lock screen use are turned on as always.

Does anyone know if the new home architecture has been fixed?! I can’t believe it’s been such a mess and they just removed the option for people who hadn’t updated but left the ones who upgraded with ZERO support or fixes. They just released a ‘new’ HomePod, for the home, and no mentions of the new architecture?

Hopefully this fixes the horrible battery life I’ve had on my 14PM. I’ve averaged about 6 hours of SOT on the last beta.

Seems like a solid build so far. Had a strange bug earlier when I picked up my phone after getting home (previously was on CarPlay) and nothing would play out of the speaker regardless of app, even when I made sure the audio output was correct and volume was up. Resolved with a restart

The RC seems to run quite well on my 14 Pro Max so far. Battery overnight seems a tiny bit better. WIFI still randomly stops working as it has for all the 16 releases - no worse anyway.

Seems to me like a decent bug-fix release.

Good old restarts.
They do wonders 😉👍🏼

How we all doing today?
So far so good. No crashes, though my phone randomly stopped charging overnight last night. Happened a few minutes after I plugged it in and stayed off the whole night. Woke up with only 10% charge.

Probably a coincidence and not related to the beta though. Plugged it in again and it charged the whole morning just fine.

I had this same issue but on my iPad with 16.2. plugged it in and it recognised there was a cable attached as the battery icon turned green but it wasn't actually charging. after about an hour it still hadn't charged. took the charger out and put it back in and it charged fine. my ipad is basically "brand new". it's a refurbished model that i've only had for about 2 months so not like it's old. that was a month ago and it hasn't happened again.

don't think it's a 16.3 issue. i haven't even updated to 16.3 on any of my devices.

I’m on 16.2 and just noticed the same thing. I swear it wasn’t like this recently. Could it be a server side change? I also drop my phone a lot, and could have damaged the haptic engine.

It appears to me that 16.3 applied the updated architecture to Home. I had one home that was still using an iPad as the home hub and it is no longer accessible after the update. With 16.3 B2 it was still accessible but wouldn't allow an update until I added a new hub
