my phone was charging last night and when I woke up my screen was dark.. the power button didn't turn it back on.. tried different chargers too. nothing booted it back up.. I thought it was dead. I get in my car to go to work and I plug it in and I see the apple logo and it boots up. My battery was 77%. Weird. I hope that was a freak thing.

First lock-up in YEARS! Wasn't even using the phone at the time. Took it out of my pocket, lock screen showed, and ... that's it. Hung. Hopefully, and most probably, a one-off.

Between these two posts I’ve just decided this isn’t daily driver ready. I travel and depend on my phone for work/my life in general and I need my phone to be reliable. Not that the last “stable” releases have been very stable either, mind you

Nothing a hard reboot doesn't fix. It's always worth the adrenaline rush of being on the latest beta!
It's going to be irritating now Apple are blocking the found-it-on-google dev beta profiles and having to wait for public betas like a peasant.
Not worth it to me - I don’t want to be stuck in the middle of who knows where or trying to do who knows what rebooting my phone.
I imagine future dev betas will still have IPSW releases so really nobody has to wait for the profiles or PB, now or presumably in the future.
On 16.4 beta. Had the screen freeze earlier and then eventually unfreeze after some time. Just now had it freeze up again and the phone rebooted itself. Anyone else having this issue?
I now have it installed and it indeed does enable 5G standalone for t-mobile. My 14PM is now in SA mode

Well, I will wait then till the second beta.
I was having screen issues where the phone wouldn’t wake up on iOS 16.2, 16.3, and 16.3.1 so it’s nothing new for me on this beta.
It was a fairly rare occurrence, but definitely happened from time to time.

Opened up the Photos App and the screen gave me white/black flickering issue. Come on man.. no disrespect but it gave me Android or Windows Vista vibes. It scared me and had a little panic attack. Hopefully, I don’t get to see it again. 😣
Yeah, my iPad Pro the other day did this for the first time - couldn’t get it to respond at all for about a minute… super confusing and frustrating, though it eventually became responsive again!
When I had the various iOS 16 betas on my 11 Pro Max my entire phone would regularly crash/respring itself. The same behavior was present in the final release from what I can recall, though I didn’t use it long before I eventually got the 14 Pro Max. No previous iOS betas I’ve messed with were quite that unstable.

Also LOVING the new changes to Apple Music. More iOS 16 sleeper-hit changes and fixes, we love that. True quality of life improvements that hopefully will continue on healthily with iOS 17.
