For anyone interested: Hit the Island still stutters the same, which is ridiculous, this game would have run perfect on my 10 year old Galaxy S4, or Sony Xperia U...
HTI is not stuttering on my 14PM on beta 4.

Astronomy wallpaper goes black after unlocking my IP12 PM. It is doing sporadically so it’s going to be one of the bugs that are almost impossible to invoke.

I have something similar on my ip14 pro max. The unlocked wall paper is darker. But this beta is so much better than the prior betas so far. My phone isn't respringing every hour anymore.

This looks like a bug, with the shading of the globe which, isn't smooth at all and instead it just appears on the globe. In my case it looks like I have a solid black as a Wallpaper.

Where did the Apple Watch battery widget on the Lock Screen go? It disappeared since the previous beta. I was left only with my Sony headphones battery widget with no icon inside. Now the icon is back, but no watch widget.

Thought to chime in since we are very far along the iOS 16 cycle now. I went from a 13 Pro Max to a 14 Pro Max. I was going to stick with my 13 Pro max, it was a beast in battery life among other things but was offered a sweet carrier switch deal. After switching to the 14 Pro Max, and after all the iOS 16 updates thus far, my battery life seems to still be be 25-30% less than I was getting on my 13 Pro Max. Have done multiple restores via IPSW, set up as new, tweaked settings etc. and waiting on updates in hopes that would address it. It has gotten better since launch, But I’m still finding my self looking for a charger around dinner time, where my 13 Pro max would be hovering around 30% or more by then. Is it safe to assume that battery life is as good as it gets with the 14 series of phones and maybe just accept they aren’t as power efficient as last years models?

It's really just as good as it gets. The decrease in battery life from the 13 Pro Max to the 14 Pro Max was also in the same ballpark like you noticed. Disabling Always On Display definitely helps by about 20% per day. But other than that, the 13PM was the iPhone with the best battery life I ever had. The 14PM doesn't reach the same level, although it's still very good.

Thanks for the input. I have turned off AOD as well. To my eyes, even doing light tasks on the phone sips more juice than before on the 14’s for some reason. Yet the A16 processor is supposed to be more power efficient. I gathered some patience thinking with iOS 16 being a mess in the start that maybe just some optimizations needed to be made. It’s not horrible battery life, I’m getting 7-8 hours Screen on time. I guess I just got cozy with 10-12 hours on the 13 pro max and didn’t expect the next gen phones to take a step backwards in battery life.

AOD, dynamic island… just a couple of new battery drains for the 14pros… so it tricky to compare really as there are probably more. Just might mean you need to charge your phone more often. Try not to worry so much about the life of the battery, unless there is a clear fault draining it by the second and just enjoy using it.

I used to be so bothered about how long the battery would last, and it’s silly really, because now it hits 30% when ever it does that and I charge it, or it gets charged in the car with CarPlay. Consciously don’t even think about battery anymore unless I go out for the day and I’ll be away from a charger.

Has anyone noticed their iPhone battery percentage taking a hit? Mine is still at 100% Please check. Thank you!
