OTA (over the air) literally is that when updating and installing. OTA patches with new or updated files in the iOS.

IPSW file is a tethered approach using a computer and the downloaded IPSW file. Which does a full installation every time you use one.

Does that mean you then set up the phone as new and have to re-enter all the settings that you've adjusted?

Has anyone tried Voice Isolation on a phone call yet? I noticed while driving my Raptor the other person doesn’t have as hard of a time hearing me because my engine is too loud. Must be working good
Actually tested a bit today and turns out the called party I was testing with indicated it was more muffled and not as clear as with it turned off. Now she was in a car on speaker phone not phone to phone but a bit disappointed as I was expecting a better quality option not worse. Will try phone to phone when I update hers to 16.4 when its released to see if that's any better. At lease its easy enough to disable. :(

Voice isolation mode is something quite special and I never leave it always active, also not on FaceTime. I've had called parties complaining about quality in some situations. Also it's bothering to not hear any background noise at all for some people (me included) as it sounds like the call dropped or is having issues. So I only really turn it on when I know I will be in a very noisy environment for some reason. Then it works well.

Having issue’s on my 14 pro max AOD not turning off when either face down, in pocket or set on do not disturb at night in blacked out room. Anyone else having this issue on this build?

I tried it with my boss with AirPod Pros on and he said he actually couldn't hear me - I guess it was cutting in and out. I turned voice isolation off and it seemed fine to him. Maybe don't have it on in a semi-quiet area?

After updating to the developer RC, up on multiple reboots, I get this notification that an update is available. However, when I check, it states that it is up to date. Switching the drop down menu to the public RC doesn’t solve this.
I guess this is minor, but does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Update: after more than 24 hours, this notification disappeared, strange?

Did you try a restart?

Honestly, I’d take that over the issue where it keeps turning itself off when you don’t want it to.

Agreed. My battery on my Apple Watch Ultra is also better on watchOS 9.4 RC
My series 8 is slightly better than B4, but it’s still much worse than it was on B3. I usually end the day with about 50% battery, around 10pm. It’s now almost 8pm and the battery is 16%. I’ve tried rebooting to no avail.

Does anyone have any experience unpairing and re-pairing yielding any benefit in a case like this? I haven’t tried it yet.

I mostly use it in a semi-quiet area. That is when I pee and flush. It works wonders, they can’t hear anything toilet-related, tested 100%

My battery life is phenomenal on my 14 Pro Max with 16.4RC. I am on my phone for like 12-14 hours a day and still ending the day with around 35%.

On the other hand, there are few bugs: My Airpods 3 keep dropping connection on and off, some rendering of control center icons when I swipe down are messed up etc

13 ProMax
Focus > Sleep

I’m finding with this release if my phone is in Sleep mode and I turn it off in Settings, it doesn’t. Turn off.
Even rebooted the phone. No joy.

Update:
Seems to be a Share issue.
I set a Focus mode on my iPhone and share it to my iPad. If I manually turn off Sleep on the iPhone, it will not turn off while Share is enabled. If I turn off Share, it shuts off. Mind you that Focus / Sleep is only being triggered from the iPhone.
This may have existed in previous betas. Last beta was I think 2 I tried this and shutting off on the iPhone turned it off.
