Yes sir! Battery life has been exceptionally good. Just good not great! I’m going on vacation tonight for the weekend. Going to 🇨🇦 Canada and to see Niagara Falls on Saturday 😂 so the real test will begin again. I would love to see solid 9-10 hours of Screen Active time. However, that's wishful thinking. May have to wait until iOS 17 + iPhone 15 Pro Max drops. ✨

In addition, this 1 picture or video has been in sync forever. 😥

Enjoy your self and send me a picture. We are going to have to work on that one picture that won’t upload. But not before you go have some fun. 😊

Noticed some others having Wi-Fi issues. Guess I’ve reluctantly joined that club. My new (to me) 13 mini seems to drop the Wi-Fi signal quite a bit. I’ve rebooted the router, and tried some other tricks to no avail. My other devices are having no issues. Not sure if returning this mini for a replacement would make any difference but may end up trying that anyway. Perhaps I’ll wait for the next beta to see if this has been fixed or not first. In the meantime I’m not using Wi-Fi and it works great. Loving the mini so far.

Another vacation, another 6,000 photos!
You already know it. Expect the unexpected!

It's going to stay on sync. I may have to wait until iOS 17 for a fresh install.

I have noticed that if I switch Safari to private mode, the first url I enter is being ignored (with no previous tabs open). Instead of opening the website, I am left with an empty address bar again. I need to completely close safari and then it works

This is mine without really doing much :)

Yeah, that’s roughly the same as mine, too. I did a wipe & restore about a week or so ago, and I’ve been at this since about then..

This is all normal, though. The OS itself does take up space, along with any temporary files and things being used for system apps. Remember when this used to be like 4GB at most?

Uh lol, back on topic I guess.. 😬

Anyone have the mail app stutter when scrolling down the message list? App crashed on me a couple of times today randomly

Just test it everything’s fine next line.
Maybe I haven’t any issues anymore since I made the DFU restore two days ago.👍🏻

iCloud Drive is regularly popping up on top with storage space of 2.7GB then moves down all the way to 230MB since updating to 16.4

It seems there's constant File reshuffling taking place in the background.

Took a trip (long) this week (driving) to check out a new house. Ventura California to Prescott Arizona.
13 ProMax on latest beta and Apple Car Play in my Ford Edge (all updates).

Music, Messages, Calls all worked well, almost. Not sure if it was the connection (5G/LTE) or something in the OS but some of the messages never made it to Car Play. They were on the phone when I looked later - how I found them. Everything else worked okay.

Maps was a whole different tale. Ugh. For those who have driven all or parts of it, US I-10 from California to Phoenix Az has a good bit of construction and associated traffic. Maps was frequently wrong. The route was great however the actual traffic and construction info was frequently incorrect. Indicated detours where there were none at that time (they previously existed) and indicated no active construction for other spots where there was said construction. Frustrating to be cruising and the map shows no delays when eWHAM!. Brake lights.

At my destination (Prescott Az), likely due to AT&T having not the greatest network there, driving routes, using Safari to check accounts and paperwork, and email became a mess. Once again I suspect it had to do with poor signal but this beta didn’t handle it well. I swapped to Mint Mobile (TMobile) and Android and all was great. Strong signal. Same apps on both so was able to do what I needed - paperwork, etc…

One item of note, with a weaker signal, spell check was very poor. Much worse than usual. How much is actually done off device vs on device? Have to look into that.

Anyway, I skipped using Apple on the return trip and used Android instead. Worked well. I was surprised how much more detail was on the map for Android Auto vs Car Play. Maybe I am missing something? My last trip like this was a few updates ago and a different car (still Ford Sync) - I didn’t have these kinds of issues, except construction. Must be a Maps thing.

Feedback reported.

What maps were you using on your iPhone, Apple or Google? I always have found Google more up to date particularly in current construction areas. I personally never use Apple Maps.

Use google on the return journey for a comparison maybe?!?
I've just recently started using Apple Maps' option for multiple stops along the way in a route. Even just going to get coffee and then to the beer store and then to a friend's house.. Works great! And it's easier to add stops along the way than I initially thought.

The other day I tried using Google Maps in CarPlay for the same route I normally do on Thursdays (coffee for the ride, and beer for when I get to my friend's house), aaaaaaand I was honestly just kinda lost, in the sense that I couldn't quickly enough figure out how to add stops, if you can? Switched back to Apple Maps quick.

I just updated from 16.3 to 16.4.1 and Apple took the color out of the sun in the Weather app. Now, everything is white (except the temp range bars).

Cloudy icon: white
Sunny day: white
Partly cloudy: white

No longer do sunny days stand out as bright yellow, but every day looks dreary and milky white. The weather channel did this a few years ago and brought it back because… well, it’s stupid.

Bring back the yellow, Apple. The weather is dreary enough, can’t you leave a little sunshine in the app?IMG_2875.jpeg

Maybe a restart is in order?

Edit: This is the 16.5 beta thread so it may be different between the two.
