@TheYayAreaLiving 🎗️ my friend given all of your problems that I am sorry you have to deal with, if I was where you are this is what I would do. I would wait the few days until WWDC. And when they release the ios17 beta, I would make sure that my phone was manually backed up, and then I would wipe out the phone and reinstall 17 from scratch as a Ipsw. Something in the current version has gone completely wrong and is causing bad issues. I definitely would take advantage of the new os to get started all over again.

Nope. Use a Mac, download the IPSW file of the beta or official release you are on, hold down alt key, when clicking the check for update button, this will then let you select the IPSW file.

All this does is reinstall the iOS. Doesn’t touch your data. Obvs do a back anyway just to be on the safe side.
Well, tried this several times this afternoon but no luck. I'm still missing the All Junk mailbox and also the App Store in notifications. I can though now see new emails in notification centre.

I think I'm going to bite the bullet and restore as a new device and start from scratch 😩 Should I do this OTA or via Finder? Which method is more likelynto deliver a better result? Or does it make no difference at all?

Thank you for your suggestion. Excellent idea!

Question: Does that mean I would have to pay $99 for the Developers' account? September seems so far away now :(

I'm starting to wonder if the article released about it coming this week was premature. If it doesn't come tomorrow we are in fact looking at next monday, it will not be on a thursday.
Why not? Thursday is a common iOS release day.
We have had thursday releases before correct?
Yes, lots of times.

I would try a "reset all settings" before doing this. That is known to solved strange issues as well. It also leaves your data intact. Just need to set up WIFI, any bank cards you have for apple pay, and of course run through your settings to set as you like them. Its pretty painless tho.

Is there any reason it wouldn’t release today? Have they never dropped an update on a Wednesday?

If it's not today there will be a lot of speculation
Me too! :) Very uncharacteristically I'm feeling all up and down about this release. No reason to, really. I'm just hoping it'll be released today so I can do all the downloading at the office.

I suppose too that since I re-adopted my husband's iPad Pro 9.7, I'm kinda curious to see how the latest release would work on it. The 9.7 is, undoubtedly, slow at this point, but good enough for a reading device.

Holy F***, I think they fixed the alarm lock screen widget for sleep alarms.
Woke up this morning and the widget updated to my next sleep schedule wake time, tomorrow AM instead of showing off. Let's see what happens tomorrow.

Genuinely very happy for you. Glad we can put that one to rest. Phew 👍🏼

Not for me

Pleased it's working for you though.
Spoke too soon. Widget didn't update this morning. Still broken

A favour please from everyone... could I please ask if you guys can see the "All Junk" mailbox in your mail app?

I've restored as a new device and this mailbox is still missing for me. It's not a mega downside, but I am curious as to why I can no longer see this.

Thanks guys

I just done a full restore and installed everything as new. BUT I’m still not seeing the App Store in settings / notifications. This means when there are app updates I won’t know. And I don’t want auto update.

What is going wrong? Or what am I doing wrong?
