And don’t worry - that stupid interface is activated by mistake all the time in your pocket so you will likely end up with the new wallpapers sooner than The ?🤔

How is that even possible?🤔

The only way that's going to happen is if your pants are made out of conductive material.

The wallpaper is fine I think, and the tab is also an ¨improvement¨. But I hope we can see something that really matters for a mobile phone, for example, a better battery life, a better mobile-phone signal, etc.. Maybe there'll be some surprise next month. We´ll see.

No fix for the password reset exploit… Maybe 16.5.1 🤷‍♂️
you mean ability to reset password using Screen Time by knowing 6-digit pass code? update says something about improvements in Screen Time and I thought they fixed it but nope.... I checked it and nothing has changed. They dont even want to read Feedback report from non-US guys like me =(

Am I missing something or do the matches in the new Sports Tab on News not have the option to pin the result to the dynamic island? I'd assumed that would be one of the points of adding them

The Weather Widget is still not fixed.
  • The widget is reporting: Thunderstorm ⛈️
  • When you open the weather app, it’s reporting: Mostly Sunny. 🌤️
Which one is correct? Frustrating and unreliable! At least iOS 16.5 got the temperature right. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Which is why I am giving up on the built-in Weather app. Weather Pro, Meteo Suisse work much better for me. I have read good things about the Carrot weather app as well.

Now for all the folks complaining about new wallpapers a hint: you don't have to install them - there are plenty of other fixes, especially closing some vulnerabilities that make updating a must. Do we really have to go through this every time?

What should truly matter is for Apple to stay on topic! Focusing on IT issues, and developing their core business, not pandering to a minority. A minority liked the Touch Bar, but Apple simply listened to the masses, and dropped it.
Do you think that maybe the software engineers who write code, are different people from the graphic designers who make wallpapers?

It’s a “feature” not a bug based on Apple Security response, when I sent them report with steps to reproduce weeks ago.

If you find an exploit I suggest writing as I did to

http://security.apple.com/

Feedback app reports are probably opened once my month by Apple :/

Hands down 🤦‍♂️

And yet every extra person working at Apple increases the costs a bit. People will complain about costs, and not complain about the inputs to the costs. Personally, I'd dump the entire wallpaper and emoji department and save $. Or put it into engineering and testing.

I don't need Apple wallpapers. There are millions around.

😀
Emojis at least are an accepted and essential part of internet communication and there is an international standard body. Every tech company has to incorporate them. As for wallpapers there are bound to be default but there are hundreds if not thousands out there to choose from. No reason to complain when the main issue are some important bug fixes (while introducing new ones :D).

Reset screen time and even reset the Apple ID password. I’m sure Apple is aware because it’s been on the news

We probably don’t need an OS update for those, but more users will bother installing the updates and get the security fixes if there’s a feature or emoji, or whatever.
It’s just rolled into one update. It makes it easier with less updates.

My issue with 3rd party weather apps is you’re basically installing adware. They track you 24/7 and sell your location data. I’ve read the privacy policy of a few weather apps. It’s not good

I put mine in the phone pocket of my cargo shorts (it's a 12 Pro, sticks up a little bit), and even if I lock it first, it sometimes shuts off an audio stream, or opens a Blink camera in response to a notification, etc. Especially if I'm moving around a lot, like mowing the yard, and listening to something with my AirPods Pro. I don't understand it, but it happens.
